Laxatives

did anyone take a laxative after surgery? how soon?

I took ex-lax a couple of times about 2-3 weeks after surgery and it helped a bit.  My doc also has me on a stool softener / Colace, and today and my 6 week follow up he told me to add it 5g of powdered fiber and 17mg of Miralax every day.  All combined - it should start helping soon.  I hope!

I have been taking miralax every morning which is helping with the constipation.
