Normal weight loss or not?

its been exactly two weeks since my MGB. Pre-op weight was 77kg (169.7 lbs) and today I'm 69kg (152 lbs). My height btw is 153cm 

is this a normal weight loss for this short time? 

 

I have been struggling with getting my daily target of protein and today I noticed that my muscles a sore and I'm getting tired easily. I also think I'm dehydrated. Not sure what to do! Any advice?

I think that's about right for weight loss. I'm 10 days out and down about13 lbs . But you HAVE to get your protein in. Be like Nike and " just do it " get shakes or whatever you have to do. You have 24 hours in a day... Most people only sleep at most 8 hours.... You CAN do it !!!! And water !!!!

17 pounds in 2 weeks is a lot...

I would find something you can drink though to get that liquid in- it can make you very sick feeling and cause issues with dehydration.

maybe sugar free drops or powder into your water. or sugar free apple cider drink, or decaf coffee. powerade with no sugar?

 

you will be tired for up to a month or maybe even longer.

I think your loss is great, and you are losing so that's a plus YAHOO!  I learned early on, does not matter if you lose fast or if you lose slow as long as you lose and stick to plan that's all that matters.

Its really hard in the beginning to get all your protein in, the tired and sore muscles are most likely dehydration.  Get your liquids in.  If that means drinking more than you are eating so be it, and protein shakes count towards liquids.  I was very tired at two weeks post op, I didn't start to feel "normal" again until I was 3-4 months post op.  Rest, drink your liquids, be kind to yourself, you had major surgery.
