Iron Transfusion

Anyone have/gotten an Iron Transfusion before???? I meet with the hemat doc on thursday for the first time to get everything set up. Looking to hear stories tips what to expect

I have many many iron transfusions. Your first one will go slower because they will monitor for any side effects.

I love IV iron. It really is my drug of choice. When you need it and get it nothing can make you feel better.

I get mine usually in an outpatient hem/onc clinic. It's a good place to get it because the nurses are good at putting in IV's and  the padded chairs recline and are heated.
