First Milestone!

Yesterday I reached one of my most important personal goals: To weigh less than 100 kg!

My starting weight was 134kg, surgery March 2nd and honestly I never believed I would see this number again.

This journey is in many ways so interesting and reading all your stories here is such a great help.

My husband and my 7 year old son are so excited for me. We celebrated by shopping clothes for me and going to a restaurant for them....

What I never realized is how hard it must have been for my son, to have an obese mom. His comments now sometimes make me cry. The other day (like 10 Kilos ago) he told me, it would be OK if I do not loose more weight, because I can already do so many more things with him (hiking, playing basketball, etc) and I am way healthier than before. When I came out the change room yesterday in clothes that fit nicely, he did not say anything but gave me hug and didn't want to let go of me.

I am just so grateful to be on this journey......

Until today I did not have any problems eating (so I did not touch any of my trigger foods yet, like ice-cream, chocolate, chips), I eat between 900 and 1000 kcal a day, 90 gr of protein, go twice a week to the gym and have a busy job.

2 month ago I posted something about feeling like a winner, when I succeeded not to eat ice cream after a long day at work. And someone was so kind to point out, that I am at a point where food has still a lot of power over my emotions and feeling (even by not eating). I gave this a lot of thought.

We hosted and attended a lot of events in the last weeks, where a lot of amazing food was served and I was very surprised when I realized, that I do not have the urge to try everything anymore. Or that I feel sorry for myself being on a diet and not allowed such and such..... I chose what I can eat and did think about what I can not eat.

This is really something which gives me hope for the future, because I truly believe that loosing the weight with our amazing tool is just the beginning of a long and hard journey.......

congratulations on the scale victory.  Breaking the hold that food has on me is probably the biggest challenge I face.  I'm so happy that you are having victories.

You look so amazing, great job!
