Hi all. Thank you for your encouragement. I am 2 weeks post op and doing ok but def not getting the nutrients I should nor the hydration (how I want to guzzle a big glass of water). I do realize it will take some time. My body is no longer a fan of the sweet stuff:shakes jello pudding etc. I did make red beans I was able to tolerate and broth. Eggbeaters also helps. Any other post op ideas?

i did egg whites with ricotta or cottage cheese, made them go down better- if you plan allows it.

also adkins lift has a drink that is pretty good. sells at walmart

gnc has an isopure protein drink with 40 protein that I would drink 1/2 of at a time.

bone broth with protein powder?

The IsoPure is a great idea. Thx so much. Grateful to find a protein drink without a dairy base!

I also purchased some unflavored protein that has 20G per scoop. I will begin sprinkling that on everything.

your plan may differ but at 2 weeks I was told to only focus on protein and staying hydrated. I was a HUGE drinker **** tea, lemon water ect not alchohol) before surgery, like to the point where family and friends teased me about how I always had something to drink around and how much I drank.

Since I can't drink as much I find myself thirsty all the time. My little trick has been ice chips. Don't swallow them if you can help it because sometimes the cold can hurt your pouch, however I find that ice chips make my mouth feel like its hydrated enough to not make me crazy.

I have become a huge fan of the Chobani Triple Zero yogurts, specifically the coconut flavor.  Also, one day about two weeks post op I had an urge for Chinese soup and only had the broth and it was a REAL treat!
