Out of the blue this past weekend I developed stabbing pain in my upper left abdomen radiating through my mid back, hyper active gas-extreme. After 24 hours of this fun I decided its time to go to ER, they did CT scan with contrast. Results were "everything looks ok" and "no leaks" so no answers other than to follow up with surgeon (I will call today). It is still a now "dull" pain in upper kind of mid left abdomen with extreme gas bubbles anytime I drink or eat. Something is definitely wrong. Maybe ulcer, stricture? I don't know, will keep you all posted if they find out what is wrong. Kind of crazy though that after all this time now something happens, makes me a bit angry.

It can be just constipation. Even if you have regular daily BM - things may back up really high up.. Some of us been there... Unfortunately. At one time when dealing with pain as you describe I was told that I was simply - full of it.. A few days dosing of Miralax helped me. I still take Miralax daily. Some days more - some days less.

Hopefull it is simple as that...

Though I dealt with hernias and needed a couple a surgeries to fix them... Good luck..

Today is day 4 the pain subsided around 4pm last night my stomach is now in a "sore" state. I am going to see surgeon today. Now Im thinking maybe....I got something stuck in my pouch? or food poisoning from eating out, gastritis. I don't know but those are my guesses. I will keep you posted for the "mystery diagnosis" duhn duhn duhn duhnnnnn.......lol

So far its looking like gastritis, but to be safe the surgeon is scheduling an upper endoscopy to rule out stricture or ulcer. The pain is gone as of Tuesday morning, but Saturday-Tuesday was a long time for pain. Thank goodness and I will update you if its more than just gastric inflammation/gastritis.
