My favorite things to eat right now

I'm 7.5 years out so these aren't for everyone.

Honey crisp apple peeled and skin gone. (still can't handle it all these years) dipped in PB2chocolate powder mixed with a little real peanut butter ,splenda, and a big plop of full fat non flavored yummy local greek yogurt. This is a meal for me.

Greek salad + a packet of the good stuff tuna. The stuff that looks like fish not cat food. Most delis have greek salad so it's easy to make if you don't feel well.

Dannon  80 calorie greek yogurt with a handful of still frozen blueberries, plop of the good stuff non flavored local yogurt. It makes eating yogurt the best treat. This is a meal for me.

Iced cofee or iced lattes with the least amount of diary products I can stand. Plus splenda.

What's your favorite thing to eat?

My favorite things to cook or eat out: chicken thighs cooked almost any way, pot roast, most kinds of cheese, a whitefish called Swai (it's SO much better than Tilapia), and steak-ribeye, filet, or prime rib are my favorite cuts.

My favorite quick snacks lately are pepperoni crisped in the microwave and topped with muenster cheese, cheese sticks or squares from Sam's Club ( havarti and Gouda ), and I've been on a peanut kick, but keep it to 1/2 oz. serving. I also love something from Smithfield called "snack n go" ( I think that's their name. )-they're basically meat/cheese roll-ups. They're near the 3P packs. If I'm running errands and need a snack-most of the local grocery stores carry them here. ( better than a protein bar, IMO )

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

I used to buy those little 3P packs for an emergency but they were way too enticing to the boy.

One slice of cheese on parchment paper->one minute in microwave = yummy crunchy cheese.

I'm loving fish right now. I used to hate fish before surgery - I just liked shellfish. I don't cook, DH does, so I'm really loving the ease of frozen fish already prepared with spices or sauces for a quick meal for me. There is one that is a butter dill sauce, I think it's salmon. It's under 200 calories and at least 20 grams of protein and takes between 20-30 minutes to bake. There are 2 pieces of fish in there so I just pop one in and one of them is a full meal.

We've been going to this restaurant near us that has the most amazing tiger shrimp with linguine meal. I order without linguine - has huge shrimp, balls of mozzarella, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers. Delicious and gives me at least 4 meals - the one at the restaurant and 3 meals afterwards lol.

My favorite snack is still the same thing it's been for a while - turkey breast cold meat, with a very thin layer of cream cheese wrapped around a pickle.

Let's go out to eat! That shrimp sounds great.

Wrapped meat has long been a staple in my diet. I like mine with good mustard.

Ribeye. Mmmmm. It's been 10 days. That's the longest I've gone since the pre and post op liquid diets.

Away on vacation. SOMEONE brought too many suitcases, and I didn't have room for my grill.

You definitely don't need that kind of negativity in your life! ;)
