This is a drive-by because I have a meeting in 8 minutes.  I'm working my second job tonight so I just brought a bunch of stuff to get me through the day.  Natch I don't know the totals.  I'll figure it out later.  LOL 

Time since surgery:  2 years, 2 months

FOODS:

egg salad

2 slices of 45 cal whole wheat bread

pork rinds

yogurt

soyful mix

garlic and herb tuna pouch

AV you are an early bird these days!

I had a chicken curry for supper last night - it was so delicious... The leftovers are whats for lunch.

Breakfast - 2 ggs, 2 strips of bacon, it comes with toast or hashbrown but I think I will do without the additional carbs

Banana for a snack.

Supper is sausage with sauerkraut. 

 

QOTD - This pre-op wants to know how many changes you made before your surgery, and before the liquid diet - if you had one -did you lose weight?

I ate JUST like I would after surgery, obviously just bigger quantities!  I did this the whole 8 months I was waiting for surgery.  I mean I obviously wasn't 100% all the time, but I lost 35 lbs

I applaud you for trying to work into your life and your family's life what it will be like post op to eat a certain way.  Way to go!

Pre op I really had to work hard on not drinking with my meals. I used to have several glasses of ice water or milk with my meals, that was hard for me to change.  Also giving up sweets, that was my "thing", cookies, cakes, chocolate bars, I did my best pre op to cut down, I didn't totally eliminate it but I cut it down a lot, it felt like I was saying goodbye to a best friend.

I did two weeks of Opti and lost 14 lbs on it.  Keep up the great work!

Drinking with meals is something I definitely have to work on.  I always drink a lot of water at meal time and then coffee after. At breakfast I just go straight for the coffee.

I was given a pre- preop diet...LOL. Was told to have a 100g protein a day, up to a 100g carbs and didn't have to count veggies in that.I could have 'some' fat. wasn't given an amount. I lost like 10lbs in a month.

Yes I made changes before surgery & before the liquid diet. I cut down my carbs to one per meal. So instead of spaghetti with noodles & garlic toast; I had noodles or garlic toast. I also cut out all liquid calories. My time span from consult to surgery was very short-- I lost six pounds prior to my liquid diet, then 14 on the liquid diet. 

5'6.5" High weight:337 Lowest weight:193/31 BMI: Goal: 195-205/31-32 BMI

It's so slow up here... I was referred on Feb 2nd, went to orientation April 18th, and I will hopefully have surgery by February 2017 but it could be longer.

My pre op was 2 weeks liquid diet, with 1 small meal for dinner.  It was 3 Oz of protein and 2 cups of a vegi.  No salt and no butter.  I lost 12 lbs.  It gets easier around day 4.

You can do it!
