Good morning!! It's cold & SNOWY here!! I love snow, so I am ecstatic about the snow!  Not happy about the cold, my hands pretty much don't thaw out or get warm until May ha ha!!   Had a great weekend, it was productive and got to sleep in and watch some movies. I have a busy week at work and in the evenings this week so already I am looking forward to the weekend! How was your weekend?

QOTD: Let's talk work Christmas parties. Do you like them or hate them?  Do you go and eat & drink & be merry or just make an appearance and excuse yourself early?  We have a ton of work events this time of year. I only go to 2 of them, there are so many so I just choose wisely. There is one this Wednesday, it's actually a breakfast with our programs Executive team so about 30 people. I hate every minute of it. They have it every year at the restaurant Marche. I can't eat those huge portions so I usually end up drinking about 5 lattes and don't eat. Other than my Boss who I adore I really don't like the rest of this group, it's extremely cliquey and I hate cliques and so I pretty much stick to my coffee and get out as soon as I can.  Next week is the second one I am going to and this one I love, me & my Boss & 4 others from our team that I work very closely with and I adore all of them. We go to this amazing restaurant that has phenomenal food and we have such a great time relaxing & laughing. 

Time since surgery: 3 years

B: vanilla yogurt & 6 raspberries 

L: tuna with balsamic & 1/2 bell pepper

S: protein hot chocolate & 2 babybel

D: tuna with balsamic & 1/2 bell pepper 

S: 2 babybel

TOTALS: 848 calories, 109 proteins 35 carbs

V: patches are on 

L: lots of coffee, lots of water with cranberry juice

E: take dogs out as soon as I get home, then scarf down dinner then I have to drive an hour to an appt I have and won't be home until close to 10pm so no gym for me tonight, bummer!

Hi All, super duper quick post before I run into meetings straight through 2:30pm...

The snow looks pretty here, too, but it was a slippery and dangerous commute. I feel very lucky to have gotten here safely because there were a lot of spin outs on the road!

QOTD: It depends...I love my coworkers at this job so I think it would be fun, but last year's party was my first week of work and I was too shy! This year's is on Friday night and I am skipping it in lieu of a family Christmas Concert tradition. I wish I could go though--they rented out the Boston Aquarium and should be super fun!

I am more than doubtful that I will eat all of this, but it's what I brought...we'll see!

Wow - the Boston Aquarium!?!? That sounds awesome.

JB, when you say you're doubtful you'll eat all this is it because you get busy throughout the day and don't have time to eat, or because you just decide not to eat it?  It doesn't seem like a lot of food and I would be STARVING if I ate less than this.  Just curious.

A little of both. Being busy definitely helps!

First, I eat my breakfast at work not home so 4 of 5 meals are eaten in an 8 hour work block. Second, almonds fill me up fast and I find they "hold me" longer than other snacks. Last, this is a BIG serving of chicken for lunch. I didn't weigh it because god knows where my scale is, but it's much more than a standard portion. I'm not planning to eat it all, but just looking at all of it makes me feel ill and having it all in my bag made me feel like a pig. In fact, I just had a few prices and I'm throwing the rest out.

I don't think you'd starve on this...

Good Morning, we are going to get snow today. Yuck!

I don't work now but back when, I worked for a company for many years and we always attended their Christmas party, it was a dinner and dance and we always had a great time with our fellow work mates.

Morning breakfast crew!

We had a great festive weekend! Lots of time spent with friends and family. The house is all decked out, and there's a fresh snowfall. In other news, I'm in my second week, of 1 pound loss. Not enjoying that part...

qotd: I am not a huge fan of most work holiday parties. Unless you have a close work team, they just seem so forced. And because Ottawa is a government town, a lot of the time you pay for your own meal and drinks, which I'm fine with, but makes some people bitter, and just not as fun as it could be.
