I HATE FOOD!

I'm going through a phase.  All food goes down badly and nothing really is enjoyable.  Even apple sauce and water taste bad.  Everything is a struggle.

I'm losing weight too fast.  About 10 pounds in the past week.

Please tell me that this a phase and will pass soon!!!

For me it lasted about two years.  My doctor finally told me I had to eat some fibers and solid foods.  I survived on mostly protein shakes for a long time.

Sorry to hear it. :(  Is this new?  I am much newer than you and experienced something like that but it was only for a week.

Here's hoping it passes soon for you.

It started about a month ago and has been worse each week since.

Lets hope it is a phase, if not then you would benefit from talking to your doctor. When you say its a struggle is there issues with the food or is it just not palatable? If you are struggling to keep it down cause you are throwing it up, or you are having issues with food that you didn't before pouch wise  thats another issue that may need to be addressed.

If its a taste thing then id say ride it out or change up textures. see if that is the issue.

Good luck. I hope it resolves for you soon. You should be able to enjoy food.It should be something you hate. That can lead to a lot of problems.

It might just be a phase. But I've noticed that a lot of your recipe posts are about trying to find new replacements for old favorite foods. I might be way off, but my guess is that those are never going to be what you want them to be, and might be part of your frustration.

I am biased to the menu thread, because it has really helped me, but you might want to go through and read a zillion posts to look for some simple food ideas and write them down.

Right now there is no way that food will make you feel pleasure like it did pre-op, but it's a good time to explore what food options will satisfy and satiate you.

I wish that was it.  I've tried the simplest basic foods.  No help.

If your surgeon does not see any physical problems, perhaps the problem is mental. Are you seeing a therapist? If not, you may want to try to find one. Finding a balance in life is important for long term success. Good luck.
