Happy Hump Day! Ah the weekend is so close I can almost taste it. Why is is so freaking cold, again? This weather is straight up crazy. It was in the 50s yesterday and I even heard birds singing--poor *******s! Today its back in the 20s with the "real feel" in the single digits. I have said it before, and I will say it again. I hate March so hard.

Here is an idea for Photo Friday! Let's see a pic of you feeling confident! It doesn't matter if it is pre-op or post-op, just find a pic when you were feeling good about yourself :) I think we spend way too much time focused on the negative in pictures...

QOTD: Yesterday when I was on recess duty I got a little pang of nostalgia for the playground games. Adults should totally still get recess-why does it end? What were your favorite playground games and activities? I loved the spinning metal Merry Go Round (I don't think they make those death traps anymore!) and my favorite group games were Television Tag & Red Rover.

Morning!

i know! It's freezing here too. There was actually a frost bite warning last night!

ive been looking into gyms closer to the new job, and I might try a boot camp style one, that would be after work, which might be good, because traffic is crazy when I'm leaving. I think it could be fun. I'm more of a morning workout person, but I think considering the traffic, this will keep me from losing my mind hahahaha

Qotd: our school yard actually had a big hill, so winter time we slid every recess. And in the spring, there would be these little water streams of runoff in the yard. On those days we had boat races with boats made from the little red plastic spreader things in our cheese and cracker snacks haha. Nice weather activities were tag and swings. I was the queen of the under duck!!

menu:

B: protein shake

L: egg cup

D: chicken breast (marinating now, and I'll grill it in a grill pan) with salad I think

S: 1oz cheese and cucumber.

S2: yogurt

im having a hard time eating enough food during the day. Still trying to work out a new routine.

I wish I could work out in the morning before work, too. It's so hard to muster up the energy after a long day!

I'm imagining grimberry as someone who was into the goth scene, but is now straight laced and working in a corporate office, but tied to that account for life now hahaha.

Freezing here too!

I remember we had a thing called giant strides, it was a big pole and it had chains coming down with hand grips and like 10 kids would grab these hand grips and run around in a circle until you were going fast enough to pick your feet off of the ground and just ride, it was great fun, but would never be aloud today! how did we ever live??!! lol

I'd forgotten all about that ("giant stride") thing! We had one as well!

Good morning!

I've been so busy in the mornings with my new gym schedule I haven't had time to post in a couple days! Today I'm taking off from the gym because it's my 6 week follow up (today is actually 7 weeks, though) with my surgeon and dietician and I'm starting work at 6:30 AM to be able to put in my normal hours. Well, also because I've been going hard and need a day off from the gym.

QOTD: the playground at my school had these tire swings we would push and spin. I loved them. They were like an amusement park ride for me!

Here's the plan:
B coffee with 2 oz premier protein (tried again since a bad experience just after surgery. Not as bad now)
S half cup low fat cottage cheese
L veggie patty (morning star grillers prime)
S half cup Greek yogurt with vanilla protein powder
D 3 vegetarian bacon cheeseburger egg bites (modified eggface recipe) and a half cup pesto/vinaigrette bean salad

Totals:
Calories: 630; Protein 78; Carbs 37

Thanks! I haven't had any big problems that I've noticed so I don't expect anything crazy. Not sure if I'm doing labs today. I'm just glad I can exercise again. I missed my cardio so much while I was recovering from surgery.
