Bariatric cookbooks?

Hi all, I am two days postop and still on clear fluids. I'm looking forward to the future and planning out how I'm going to live this new lifestyle. Does anyone have any recommendations for cookbooks that cater to the bariatric diet? I'm not the best cook so I can use any and all ideas for meal planning.

Here is a link to a website that helped me when I was early out. She has lots of recipes and great inspirational stories. The blog is called "the world according to eggface".

Ricky is right . Eggface is great. And her cooking show portion control.

With so much on-line, I haven't bought a cookbook in ages. Just google it. Also, Facebook has many groups for bariatric and low carb recipes.

If you check out the VSG daily menu threads, Gwen and others link recipes that will bring you to bariatric blog sites.

Here are some I've come across: bariatriceating.com, deliciously-thin.com, genaw.com/lowcarb/recipes.com, lowcarbfriends.com.

Best of luck to you.

I love cookbooks and I have a couple that I highly recommend.

First, Eating Well after Weight Loss Surgery https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1569244537/ref=oh_aui_deta ilpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It is by a chef who had VSG but many of the recipes are adaptable to RNY and even pureed and soft foods.

Second, Fresh Start Bariatric Cookbook https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1623157730/ref=oh_aui_deta ilpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

I am 4 weeks post-surgery and I've tried several of the recipes in each of them and love what I've made.

I also in a past life did the South Beach diet and I've found several recipes in their Phase 1 books to be useful.

If you don't have a crockpot get one. They really help with making food easier.

I mostly use pintrest and subscribe to bariatric/keto/locarb boards on there.

Also there is a recipe forum up at the top

I second the South Beach Diet recommendation. Paleo recipes are also super friendly for the post-WLS way of eating.
