I love my Palazzo pants. They look interesting on 57 year young lady.

When I wear them feel special...In my own way... I almost can hear them whispering behind my back "if she is crazy enough to wear those pants - what else us she capable to do? " Lol... I know I look great in them... And funny...

QOTD: I was conscious of being bigger than my classmates at 11. I started playing the, "who here is fatter than me" mental game at that age to help cope. There was one other girl who was maybe my same size. When I was 12 I was on my first diet. I packed salads for lunch.

JB, way to stay on top of it. I'm glad you're seeing the Dr.

Plan
Breakfast 1: coffee with premier protein
Breakfast 2: cottage cheese
Lunch: one egg pickled with beets and one babybel
Dinner: fake crack chicken
Snack: Greek yogurt with protein powder, sugar free pudding mix, sugar free whipped cream

Exercise: spin class

Good morning guys!

Thanks to JBs slight kick in the pants (thank you) I'm making a more concerted effort to make new good work day habits. Day one of operation 'establish new good habits' is off to a good start! Still not going to be easy to post my menus but the vitamins and liquids I need to work a lot harder at.

QOTD I don't have anywhere near enough time to answer this one.... so so many childhood memories related to my weight. I was overweight my whole life so there are 40 years of memories about it....

So close to 5 months post op

B- coffee w/ 1/2 premier protein

L- chicken breast and guacamole

D- leaving this one with him

S- 1/2 premier in coffees, turkey bites

Have a great day everyone!

Morning JB & Gang! Happy Junior Friday, its almost the weekend! Sorry to hear about the acid JB, I sure hope its nothing, glad you booked an appt with the Doctor! Coffee is a must stay!! Have fun with your own personal Handy Man Grim! Sounds like a fun day!!

QOTD: This question gives me serious PTSD... My Mom was skinny her whole life, basically anorexic, she was always on a diet because she thought she was "fat," and this is what I was brought up to see as "normal." I grew up very slim & active but all the kids in my neighbourhood and my sister were all really short, I had a growth spurt and towered over them all (I am not tall by any means but I just was taller than all of them), and they all called me fat. Not sure how tall and fat are related but you know kids are cruel. I remember balling my eyes out daily because I didn't want to be the "fat" kid even though I wasn't it messed with my body image and I withdrew from playing outside and didn't come out of my room when company was over as I had convinced myself I was huge and not worthy of stepping out in public. A few years ago going through old photos of myself as a kid, I was shocked to see myself and how slim I was, I know I had it in my head I was fat and expected to see that in the pictures. So all of that (plus more crap) began my dance with the devil of weight issues.

3.5 yrs since RNY surgery / 127.2 lbs today / maintenance food

B: 1/2 can of tuna + peppers + balsamic dressing

L: 1/2 can of tuna + peppers + balsamic dressing

S: 4 slices of bacon

D: 1/2 cup of turkey taco meat + 1 tbsp shredded Mexican cheese melted over top + hot sauce

S: 3 slices of bacon + 3 slices of tomato + mayo

I am working on getting dairy out of my diet as much as I can, getting rid of the yogurt & cheese in exchange for meat protein

TOTALS: 778 calories, 90 protein, 16 carbs

L: coffee all day with vanilla PP used as creamer (I log 1/2 a PP in MFP), lots of water with splash of diet cranberry juice mixed in

V: patches are on

E: supposed to thunderstorm today so no exercise, if it blows over taking the dogs for a hike

Have a great day all! Be fabulous

Yes! I look back at pictures of myself at certain ages and cannot imagine what I was seeing. But I think it became a self-fulfilling prophecy... I already thought I was fat, so why not actually become fat?

Edited to add: your menu is always so amazing. I wish I liked tuna better because it seems to be magic food. Your totals are fantastic--you inspire me.

Oh Daisy, been there done that. My mom wasn't skinny but she's never been fat either. Instead my "norm" was set by filipino culture, as well as my ultra skinny sister, cousins, and peers.

Its weird to think when i hit the 160s my junior year in high school i was so ashamed and thought i was a cow. Its funny how life is, but I totally get the body image thing. I struggled through "not being a size 2" throughout high school and college. Somehwere in my later career I just gave up and thats when the MO happened. I'm in the 160s again and im rejoicing! And to add to it i've never felt better in my life! Wierd how things change!
