Whaaaaat? No!

Well I will say I'm sorta biased. I work in international development where we help small scale coffee farmers around the world. (True fact: most coffee farmers are very poor...companies like Starbucks actually do a LOT to fight global poverty by helping farmers grow good quality coffee that sells for good prices.)

But yeah. Coffee ain't going anywhere!

But have you ever wondered how the idea first came up to roast this bean and make it into a drink?

Actually, we have goats to thank for it!

According to legend (no clue of the truth here), a shepherd in Ethiopia noticed that his goats became very hyper after eating the berries of a particular bush. The shepherd tried them and noticed he had much more energy. A passing monk, who'd been having trouble falling asleep during prayers, tried brewing the berries into a drink, and thus coffee was born.

I think people are too sensitive....

my 10 year old asked me for 1 yesterday and I nearly died when i saw the amount of sugar in the large. I saw a child with one right after and I was thinking diabetes in a cup...

I wouldn't over think your post.....

IMHO, what you said is not offensive but some people take offense when they feel guilty about something. I think I've done that myself and then have to pause and ask myself why I am feeling that way. Usually it isn't what or how the person said something, but because of my own internal feelings about it. BTW, I don't think anything that sugary is healthy either especially if consumed on a regular basis.

Very sweet things since surgery make me really sick, which is a huge change from before surgery (sugar was my go to when depressed), so after looking into it I can already feel my stomach turning and my teeth hurting. It is so pretty though, they really know how to get people in!

If you havnen't seen this its worth watching and all of us on here should agree in the sense of sugar consumption. People are to afraid to hear the truth!!
