Tell me how to do RNY

So im having to learn everything yall already know about having RNY done & what it is I need to know & do to lose atleast 100 lbs but I honestly need to lose 187 lbs to weigh what id like to weigh or somewhere around 168 idk why im stuck on that weight lol but I am & im 5'10. Alot better than 355! But im defently all on my own with this as im an only child & have NO friends. My husband dosent need to lose weight & he's still gonna eat bad so I have to battle that demon to lol. I just want to do good. Im only telling my husband and 2 kids if i do get it. Things I really need to know is how many calories and carbs a day? Why do yall drink protine shakes?

There's far too much information to try to tell you in one post. Start reading the daily menu post and you can glean a lot of information there...

Calories, carbs, and supplements are the biggest factors initially, but your brain is your biggest issue you learn how to control.

Start by reading past posts... You can do a search for things on here and find older posts too.

Good luck on your journey! Almost every single one of us started out where your are.

I paid the most attention to those that are furthest out, maintaining, and still working their tool. I find them to be there most helpful.

Also, put on your big girl britches, because sometimes people may not give you the fluffiest answer, but it's Hardcore and honest... I appreciated that the most!

I'd say it would be next to impossible to lose that much weight without surgery.

First step is meeting with a surgeon. And finding out if/how insurance pays and their requirements.

During weight loss mode stay under 800 calories and under 30 carbs per day. Drink protein shakes until you are healed enough to get your protein from food.
