Day2 - AMAW/CAMAW Challenge! WOW you all did so awesome yesterday! Day 1 was a huge success! I am super proud! Keep posting those menus & pics!

So for the newbies doing meat week people how did you do? Any thing to report? How did the black coffee drinkers do without your cream/milk? I personally am usually really snacky in the evenings and last night I had zero interest in food. It was all the sudden 10pm & time to go to bed and I didn't have any desire to eat, dense protein is so filling and satisfying! Lets do this!

3.7 years post op RNY - I am eating CAMAW

B: decaf with Premier Protein & can of tuna with balsamic dressing

L: 3 chicken wings, I don't normally eat chicken wings but hubby got these and they are good!

S: 1 deli turkey & cheese roll up + honey mustard before the gym

D: 3 slices of Longo's deli turkey breast + 2 slices swiss cheese + honey mustard

S: skyr vanilla yogurt + 2 baby bel before bed

TOTALS: 1061 calories, 141 protein, 16 carbs

V: patches are on

L: 120 oz a day is my usual (lots of decaf & water with diet cranberry juice)

E: step class after work (60 mins) then muscle pump class for 60 mins

NOTE: calories & protein are higher than usual on AMAW, don't fret this is the "magic" of dense protein

Don't forget the MIRALAX (Restoralax), or whatever it is you use to go the bathroom, trust me you need it!

Happy 2nd day of meat week! 3 days to go! We can do this!

Maintenance is extremely HARD. I had surgery on my stomach not my brain. The struggle is real and I work daily to maintain my weight loss, you can do it too!

Morning!

Day one was great. Work was ridiculous, so my meal times were off.

hubby is doing well, I warned him he might start having withdrawal headaches today....

Menu:

B: premiere protein

L: shrimp with MTL steak spice

S1: mini turkey patties

S2: the rest of last nights steak.

D:slow cooker ribs

The "keto flu" are often due to mineral imbalances - load him up with salt, magnesium and potassium. That really helps.

Hope work settles down enough that you can get your meal times back on track.

Good idea for giving your hubby the head's up, carb withdrawal is real for sure and its sucks!

You have ribs on your menu, girl I can't tell you how much I love RIBS! I need to get some this weekend!

Glad Day 1 for you was great and hubby is doing well too!

Is MTL steak spice montreal seasoning?

Do you cook the shrimp with it or simply sprinkle it on? I never thought to use that, but that's a great idea! I sometimes use lime juice and pepper.

Answering for Erin as I know she super busy during the day at work, yes MTL is the Montreal Steak Spice. I am pretty confident she marinates the shrimp in the MTL before goes on the grill, that is how I would do it. Erin when you get a sec let Kat and I know if you do your shrimp different.

Yup what daisy said. If not on the grill, l also fry them with a bit of butter in the pan.

I am going to try this -- I am always looking for new ways to cook shrimp.

So I am assuming you mix the MTL seasoning with olive oil or something for the marinade and use raw uncooked shrimp?
