I'd hold back on it. It's acidic and could be rough on your pouch. There are all sorts of myths that the carbonation could make your pouch explode (note again, this is a myth!) but in general the longer you go without pop, the better.

My memory isn't clear (I'm 8 yrs out) on my own dr. recommendation but you may find - as many do - that you lose your taste for pop after a year or so without it. I went a full year, and maybe more.

I really dislike water but just found Nestles orange flavored and lemon flavored water and finally get my water in. Sometimes I add Walmart sf grape packets. At one month diet pop is opening a door you want closed.

UMMMMM What did YOUR surgeon say about carbonation?

My surgeon never mentioned anything about carbination. But the consensus is a "no". I am sick of plain water, I think I will add some crystal lite and stay away from pop.

Thank you.

My favorite is orange crush sf powder. I also use lemos and limes if I want to be really fancy. I am a weirdo who loves the plain water though!

I may be the exception, But I love water. I drink bottled water at work and when I at home, I prefer "Smar****er" for the enhanced taste (as they advertise).

It won't be comfortable and frankly it's something you should avoid because it may be a trigger for you to continue eating sweet things.

Carbonatipn will feel terrible this soon. Stick to flavored non sparkling drinks.

You might not find pop agreeable with your tiny pouch since carbonation doesn't feel so hot. When out on the town with friends, I will order a pop instead of alcohol. (Cool tip: if you tell the bar employee you are the designated driver sometimes it's "on the house.") Lastly, you must be from the upper midwest---I think we're the only people who say "pop?"
