So today I saw my surgeon for my 1 week post op visit. Staples and stitches were removed so no more itching. He was very pleased with my progress and encouraged me to keep it up. He also appproved me to move into the puree foods for 3 days and then wants me to slowly progress to soft foods as tolerated. I was also prescribed allipurinol for gout prevention. I am to start taking the multi vitamin at this time also. So enough of that lets get to it. Since surgery I have lost 15 pounds. Thats 15 pounds in 1 week!!! I have lost a total of 55 pounds. Thats 55 pounds in appoximately 5 weeks.

My starting weight was 415, surgery weight was 375 and my current weight is 360. Goal weight 250.

I Feel Great!!

I know the scale wont always reflect big numbers but im locked in focus and embracing everything this journey has to offer.

Hi and Congratulations!

I had my staples removed last week and they have been slow to heal. Glad your doc is progressing you to mushies and soft food. Thats what I started this week.

Congrats Nechols!

That's awesome. I just had my surgery 7/21. I go in for my follow up this Thursday. I'm down but honestly that much at once scares me. Make sure you are drinking your fluids. My doctor emphasizing that so much.

Think of all the things you'll be able to do next summer that you weren't able to do this one!
