Quick update!

I am 2 weeks today post op from rny surgery. Im getting stronger and healing up well. No complications. Walking 45 mins a day, approximately 3 miles.

Highest Weight 415lbs

Surgery Weight 375lbs

Current Weight 345lbs

Loss since surgery - 30lbs

Total loss - 70lbs

Still feeling great!!

Eating soft foods now and no problems. Making sure I weigh and document all my meals. Im focusing on protein. Im taking it day by day and im taking my vitamins. One issue I had was this past Saturday at my daughters track meet was a long hot day and I had trouble keeping hydrated. I had a couple G2's and some watermelon which helped tremendously. Days like that will be tough but I made it through and focused on water intake that night and next day and I was good to go.

My advice to new people is to stay positive and dont let the process defeat you. When things start to hurt take a walk, sip some water and rest. When your feeling down, take a walk, sip some water and rest. You can make it through anything if you stay positive and keep a good attitude.

Hope all is well!!

I actually didn't read the label well and I ended up wasting those calories when I drank it. after that I switched. They also have some good clear protein waters like adkins lift/premier also. Don't like the isopure.

If you're struggling with dehydration try pedialite. Powerade and G2 have electrolytes but they're not balanced so it's not as beneficial as you would hope. Pedialite is already balanced electrolytes so it helps more.

Way to go you're doing great.

Glad you are doing well.

Staying hydrated is really important. There are protein drinks that are like powerade and gatorade. They can help you get your protein in.

I will edit later. I can't think of them right now.
