Happy Wednesday Protein Pals! How are you all? I am great! How is everyone's summer going so far? Mine is good, we are having a pretty rainy summer but so far its been great! Can't complain!

Accountability: 100% on plan, did not add in anything off plan and did not eat my evening yogurt, was not hungry.

QOTD: This is really for the ladies. Aside from wearing a thong or shapewear what do you do to not have VPL (visible panty lines)? I just wear boring Victoria Secret bikini undies but the VPL drives mental. Am thinking of getting boy shorts. I don't like to wear shapewear in the summer, its so hot. So please give me your suggestions!

Good morning menu folks! It's another lovely day here, not too hot so I plan to do an outdoor walk at lunch today.

The scale is happy with me again this morning and I am at 147. That is the lowest that I've been in more than 25 years. I really didn't think that I'd ever reach that weight even with surgery, so I am happy. My surgeon thinks that I should stop losing in the next 5-7 pounds, but my pulmonologist says about 15. I'd like to get to a Normal BMI, which is 128 for my height, but frankly I'm not sure where I will end up.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, turkey bacon

Snack: Lemonade protein shake

Lunch: TJ's Vera Cruz swai, baby carrots

Snack: turkey breast

Dinner: Chicken Sausage, cauliflower

Exercise: long walk, swimming?

You are rocking it! And FWIW (and it's not much, Ha), I think everyone should go for a healthy BMI... I personally didn't do this to just get to be 'overweight'. Obviously it's a personal choice, but you are still pretty early out, and I think you could totally get wherever you set your goal - so go for the gold!

I agree. Sadly, I can't seem to get to a normal weight/BMI and feel I'm destined to be in the overweight category for the rest of my life. I think you should try to get as low as possible while it's still relatively easy.

if you want to lose more, do it. regain is real and better to be on lower side than above and torturing yourself. at least my opinion

Definitely don't let your surgeon sell you short by giving you a higher goal weight. I personally didn't have surgery to still be overweight like my surgeon expected. Make your goal wherever you feel comfortable. Those of us with breathing issues or rheumatoid arthritis like I have are often better off being a bit lower. I know if you set your mind to do it you'll get there no problem.
