I used to retain a LOT of water and my running shoes actually fell off my feet while bike riding one day so I had to go get a smaller size. I still retain a bit of water but not as much as pre-op.

Initially yes. I went for solid 10 to 9.5. and they used to be wise to medium.

But now, 9 years later they are back to 10. Probably due to my age. I am currently in maintenance at goal.

Your feet are bigger now because of all the ass kicking you do.

My feet never really changed much till the past year. I did buy a lot of boots the first year after surgery. I loved being able to wear boots that can actually be zipped up.

I was hoping mine would get smaller but alas they didn't- thinner yes but still a size 12

My feet being thinner does make it easier to find shoes.

I went from 9 med to 8 narrow. It's really hard to find narrow shoes and all my sandals need straps or I walk right out of them.

Mine didn't... I am still an 8.5-9, BUT I think I was right on the edge of medium vs wide width before (several old pairs of shoes were stretched out width wise and I had to get rid of them) and now I'm a solid medium width.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
