First Plateau - Sigh

All:

I had surgery June 26th of this year. I have no reason to be frustrated, or annoyed. As of a week ago, I have lost 85 pounds and am 50% of my excess weight loss by 8 weeks out. And yet here I am at the end of week 8 still stuck at 253 lbs. I only weigh once a week and to get on the scale this morning at it still be the same was frustrating.

However, I am 85 pounds down and my morning blood sugar was 94!! So as much as I am frustrated and annoyed, I know I am better off today than I was 6 months ago. When I began this journey my weight was 338 pounds, my A1C was 8.5 and I was unhealthy. Today I am much better physically and emotionally. But it is still frustrating! GO AWAY pounds! lol

Thank you for having a place where I can celebrate and be frustrated at the same time!

Tom

You are doing great! It is frustrating as the scale starts to stall and slow, but it will continue on as long as you are continuing on with great eating habits!

Hang in there, this too shall pass (albeit a bit frustratingly!).

You have made so much progress Tom. The A1c is enough to make surgery worth it. Just keep reminding yourself that the weight didn't come on overnight and doesn't leave that way either. I know it's frustrating but at least you're here with people *****ally truly get it. Just keep keeping on and remind yourself of all your progress.
