So sorry about your sister - yes, thank goodness WLS has evolved (and there are Bariatric surgeons who specialize in it).

If you do need your pain medicine again ask your doc for an anti nausea med. It really helps.

Hi Seattle deb..Thank you for caring and giving me some extra advice. I really appreciate it! I did/do have anti nausea tablets...they make me massively dizzy and that combined with the oxy and benadryl really really did me in... I've truly not been able to handle any of the narcotic type pain meds(gallbladder surgery, open RNY).. I truly would rather hurt a little than feel so sick. I can take them for a few days but then it's just not worth it...yuk! Have a great nite.

I do not tolerate them well and I'm grateful I have no chronic pain.

I like liquid oxycdone because I can dose down. I also take zofran for anti nausea. It doesn't have that sleepy dizzy side effect.

Let's hope neither if us need them for s long time.

Good morning :)

First day of work went well. I think parking is my biggest anxiety. I had to get a permit yesterday and it's a 15 minute walk to my building once I park there. We have a big meeting today so that will be my first real test.

Accountability: I did well yesterday. There are so many food/restaurant options nearby, but I just ate my food and I'm all packed up for today. However, I had a massive headache by 4pm yesterday. I woke up with it still at 2am. I ended up doing a lot of snacking last night that wasn't on plan. Today will be better!!

QOTD: my aunt had lap-band several years before me and my mom was already in the process, but my decision was a little separate because my family doctor had recommended it and I didn't tell everyone right away.

Post-op two years and six months.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - egg, cheese

Snack - pepperoni

Snack - cheese whisps, turkey

Snack - zucchini lasagna

Dinner - chicken and ribs

Snack - protein shake if needed

All water and vits.
