Going to a baby shower today for my friends son and girlfriend.

Accountability some candy, animal crackers then I stopped at McDonalds.

Qotd that I want sweets more than I did before surgery

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

Good morning everyone. I am looking forward to a quiet day at home. Today is my son in laws birthday. We will be grilling steak and asparagus for dinner. My daughter is going to make a german chocolate cake from scratch. I am not in the least tempted by the cake.

I see my surgeon Monday for my 1 year check up. My weight loss has slowed tremendously the past 6 months .Also my ferrtitin is at a 10. We will see how she wants to deal with that. I emailed my nutritionist and she said I should be eating 1200 calories a day and 60 grams of protein at a year out. Does that sound right?? I would like to lose another 15-20 lbs.

QOTD- My breasts annoy me. They are gone! I was a 44 DD and now I am a 34 C, barely!

My plan for the day-

B-3 oz black forest ham

1 egg

1 oz light motzarella cheesde

L-4 ounces shredded chicken with pico

D- grilled steak and asparagus

S- light and fit greek pumpkin yogurt

1200 calories is probably too high if you are still wanting to lose weight. I eat about 1000 to 1100 and I'm 5 years out and maintaining my weight loss.

We have very similar starting weights, loss, and timeline. I started at 274, had my year appointment a week or so ago, and am at 166 this morning. I also would like to lose another 20 pounds.

I think the calorie limit depends on the person. When I keep my daily carbs under 50, I can lose at 1200 calories at the rate of about pound a week. If I stop losing I will adjust it as needed.

I hear you about the boobs. I was a 46DD and now am a 36B. Yikes!

I usually just read this thread but wanted to mentions that my sisters went from a 42 FF to barely a 36 B

I stay under 800 to lose and I don't have malabsorption (VSG).

Liz 5'3" HW: 219 SW: 185 GW: 125 LW: 113 Desired maintenance range: 120-123 CW: 120 (after losing 20 lb. regain)!

I probably should cut back the calories to make sure I get my excess weight off while my I can, I just have a hard time going under 1200. I imagine my malabsorbtion will slow down/end soon, and if I'm not at my goal, I'll have to cut back on calories.

I did 800 per day til I lost all my weight at about 9 months post op. I went from 273 to 120 in that time. This was in 2012. I've been the same weight now since then and maintain at about 1000 to 1100 calories a day. Of course I am 58 years old and have practically no metabolism so that doesn't help me at all. Everyone has to find what works for them but I would try to get the weight off as quickly as possible.
