Good morning everyone~ Happily back to work and my regular routine after a very lazy weekend around the house. Yesterday I didn't even leave the house! Although there was cleaning, laundry, car washing, homemade beef jerky and amazing hot wings, BBQ and football, it felt really nice and relaxing. The time change threw me off. I was ready to go to bed about 7, haha

QOTD - I took French from 4th-9th grade and Spanish 10th-Sophomore in college. Can't speak either but I do understand a little of both. I know I could pick it up quickly and plan to do so in the near future. It's on my bucket list.

Accountability - Not a good weekend food wise....I ate my feelings big time. Friday and Saturday I had a lot of carbs -crackers, chips, home fries and french fries. I can be emotionally impulsive -like a whole pint of Halo top last night. I'm paying for those sugar alcohols dearly today....weight is way up, I'm too embarrassed to post it. Halo Top shall never enter my house again. I can't just eat a bite or two, I need to eat the whole thing. It's my slippery slope - reminiscent of my Ben and Jerry's problem, which - by the way was my final food funeral pre op.

Sorry you had a rough weekend. You can do it though! You might need to white knuckle the carb cravings for a few day but YOU GOT THIS!

Just yesterday, a friend was raving about Halo Too (she had half a container and was thrilled that it was only 150 calories). She told me that I would love it and simply had to try it.

I told her that I won't be doing that. I have long had rotten self control when it comes to ice cream, and am far better off just saying no from the start. It's easier not to start than it is to stop! So I'm with you: it's not coming in my house!

Good for you!! Ice cream is - rather, was my favorite treat. So far I've had no problem resisting any sweets for fear of dumping or worse - not dumping!

I'm pretty good with the Halo Top because ice cream was never a big issue for me. BUT beware the donuts and pastries: I can't have them in the house!

Morning Menu Peeps!

QOTD: I took German in 6th grade... I can count to ten. I took Spanish for 2 years in High school... I can eek out a few words, but I think I learned more of it working in a restaurant from the kitchen help I don't think they teach us how to actually speak another language here in the states... they spend so much time on verb conjugation and the semantics of the language, but not really setting you up to actually learn how to talk in an everyday situation.

I had a busy weekend! Had a sleepover with a 2yo and a 9yo, then picked up a 7yo and off we went to the zoo all day Saturday. I forgot how exhausting younger kids are - had it not been for my own kids there with me, I may have gone insane. My kids were heros on Saturday!

Accountability: Consequently, my Saturday was a cluster of carbs... I had already given myself permission to go off plan, and boy did I exceed in that challenge! I did manage to reel it back in yesterday and prepped a few things for the week, so I was pleased with myself on that account.

I DID have a Great NSV this weekend! I rode around with the girls, on this little electric stuffed elephant. The weight limit on them is 170lbs, and I couldn't have ridden one since I was in my twenties! I just wish my elephant went faster! So much fun! LOL

Weight this morning: 138.0/maintenance Diet/ almost 18 months out

Instead of listing B and L, I'm going to just say that this morning I grabbed several freezer meals and brought them all with me. I have several different things, I'm not even sure of what they all are. What I DO know is that they are all low carb WLS meals, pre-measured and ready to be reheated. I also have a package of pepperoni and Canadian bacon, and 3-4 cheese sticks for the week as snacks. I'll eat on this all week while I'm at work

Dinner: I have leftover brisket in the fridge that I defrosted this weekend... I'll have 3.5 ounces of that and whatever side I make to go with it... or cottage cheese if I don't cook for the family.
