hello weekenders!

we made it through another one! What's everyone up to this weekend?

im in Syracuse. Planning to do some shopping and this evening, watch a basketball game! So nice to get away, even if only for the weekend. I just found out there's a Trader Joe's here, so I've added that to the list. Any shopping suggestions?

qotd: what has been the most shocking or unexpected NSV you've experienced. Mine is happening right now. My sister booked our rooms, and didn't know to request a king size bed. So hubby and I are sharing a queen.

Pre op, that would have meant us bumping into one another, and strategically placing our bodies, so as not to be on top of each other.

well.

im literally lying down on an angle and there's still tons of space between us! I was shocked when I realized it! Amazing how much less space I occupy!

accountability: well, we had BBQ last night, so definitely protein forward, but full disclosure: bites of fried green tomatoes and mac and cheese were had.

menu:

No idea, we're heading to shop, so will be eating out. We had leftovers from dinner and there's a deviled egg in there, so definitely that. And I want to pick up some different protein drinks, so prob one of those.

have a good one!

Good Morning Erin and Menu Family!

We are having our family Thanksgiving on Sunday and today I will be preparing some food to take to it. I am bringing relish trays, rolls and an apple pie. I'm looking forward to being with our large family.

QOTD: I can't really think of any "shocking" NSV, but a nice one was when my daughter patted me on the shoulder and said, "Mom, you're bony now!" and seeing my collar bone sticking out in the mirror.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 93, Calories - 1,065, Carbs - 84.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: hamburger patty with melted cheese

D: Not sure yet, but will choose wisely

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a WONDERFUL weekend everyone!

~ Karen

It is the Saturday before Thanksgiving for those of us in the US. I will have to go to the store in Florida on Wednesday night to get the things I need to make the dish we are bringing on Thanksgiving (unless food stores are open Thursday morning which they probably are these days).

We are finalizing packing to leave for the drive to Florida early tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to have all the preparations I need to accomplish today done by late morning so I can go to a craft fair with SIL. That has been an annual event for us over the last 4-5 years.

QOTD: I chuckled at your unexpected NSV. We always had a queen, but there is definitely a lot more room now! I guess the one that surprised me was being able to dry off faster after a shower (less terrain to cover)!

1 year, 8 months post-op (maintenance).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: tuna fish, pickles and cottage cheese

D: ? Maybe shrimp?

S: yogurt

Good morning and happy Saturday... I am so glad this week is over... I was filling in my timesheet for work and I worked 74 hours this week..... Thursday night we installed computers in one of my branch offices and we were there until almost midnight and then I went back to the hotel and worked. I have not idea why they bothered to pay for a room for me I could have just stayed at the office. Anyway, today is another busy day this morning I have already done some work and then after some coffee I am getting the house ready for my daughter to come home on Tuesday. So today I will be cleaning and grocery shopping.

Erin, I am so excited for you to be in Syracuse. I love Syracuse it has been one of my favorite cities since I was a little kid. I so lobbied for my daughter to go to school out that way but she vetoed it . I think she was afraid I would be there to much....

QOTD: Honestly I think for me was I did not expect all the energy. I knew I would have more energy be more active but just this past week while I was doing my computer install even though I should have been exhausted and ready to sleep I was like OK lets go let go lets go even after a 17 hour day of sitting in meetings and climbing under desks. I was just the little energizer bunny....

Food for the day:

B: Coffee with premier, sausage

L: grilled chicken

D: meatballs and sauce

S: who know have not decided....

Have a good day my friends.....

kind of a drive-by because I want to get into work early. I don't *have* to be there until 10:30, but we are playing the Univ of Michigan today (at 11:00), and ESPN is having it's GameDay program *right now*, across the street from my library. The library itself will be dead today because of the game - but traffic and parking will be horrendous. I'm dreading it...

accountability: good choices, but went over a bit on my calories. I went to the gym last night, though, so that might have helped a little (I hope....). Down 1/2 lb this morning. YAY!

2 years 5 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, raspberries

S: coffee with half & half, vanilla matcha protein/Miralax shake

L: cottage cheese

D: Michigan salad (spring mix, pecans, chicken breast, diced apple)

probably another yogurt somewhere in there...

It is a beautiful campus! I'm glad it looks OK on TV - it's dreary and snowing today (lightly, anyway), so I was afraid it wouldn't come across too well. Glad that's not the case!
