Overall, I'm pleased with the trends although the PTH is down slightly... I believe it's calcium that I have to be vigilant with on this one? I've started taking oral calcium - I was on patches until about 2 weeks prior to these results. Thanks in advance for the feedback!

I think they don't know the variables as to why it works well for some and not for others. Her being off the patches two weeks is long enough that her blood results are not a reflection of the patches.

I am one that seems to do well on patches - My T-score on my bone density scan went up after a year on the calcium patch. Which I was told be my Doc was 'impressive '

i switched to the Vitamin D patch for 2 weeks while on vacation for convenience and happened to have blood work scheduled right when I got back and in just 2 weeks my Vit D went above normal. -not good btw. A few weeks back to my normal routine- no patch, and retest and it was back in normal range.

So I am one of the people who seem to have no problem absorbing. Is it because Im in maintenance and have less fat tissue? Wear them at night? Wear them on my chest? Variables.

Even with oral vitamins certain brands you may or may not be absorbing.

I have been using the patches for 18 months and have had some of the best labs while using them.

Your PTH is high, and that's a number that you want lower, not higher. Higher numbers mean you are leaching calcium from your bones to keep your blood calcium up.

Your D3 could be higher. Lower D and K makes it harder to absorb calcium.

I'd want my B12 higher as well.

Oh thanks for clarification on the PTH. At least it dropped from last time. :) I will double up on the B12 too.
