Today, I tossed out the last of my "plus size" clothes. Everything I wear is "straight" sized now, mostly XLs and a few Larges. Woot woot, go me.

On the other hand, gained a few pounds with the transition to regular food. Seems like every time my diet moves up a category, I gain weight for a few days. Is that normal??

Congratulations! And yes, that's totally normal.

Congrats on your loss and the great accomplishment! Yes, it is normal to gain a few pounds when your body is adjusting to something new.

Congratulations! It's such a great feeling to size out of plus sizes and back into so called "regular" sizes.

Great job! You won't believe how small your sizes are about to get!

Weight will fluctuate here and there, usually because of water weight. Are you tracking all of your food, protein, calories, and carbs? At this stage you should probably be around 600 calories and protein up over 60. If that is where you are, I guarantee the weight will keep dropping.

  • High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
  • High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
  • Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
  • Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
  • Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)

I always keep my protein right around 60. Right now my calories are fluctuating between 500 and 600 most days, but Thanksgiving was over 700. Oops. The thing that annoys me the most is my supplements. They have calories! Sure, 60 calories isn't a lot, but it's more that 10% of my daily allowance. As soon as these bottles are empty, I am switching to the patches.
