Good morning! It's Friday and I'm happy the weekend is here. This morning I read my clock wrong and was up and dressed an hour before I needed to be before I realized it but I am enjoying the quiet relaxed time before I head out to work.

We have a busy one lined up. Hubby and I are both working tomorrow but I will be working from home. He's working until 4 and after he gets home we are headed to my office "Holiday" Party. I prefer to call it Christmas but since we have so many nationalities that work there, I'm fine with it. I'm really looking forward to it- especially my new dress. Last year I was pre-op and really struggled to find a nice dress to wear. This year the biggest struggle was deciding which one.

QOTD: I have a newfound love for Jordan's Skinny Syrups- I'm sure I'd like some of the others but Jordan's are usually the most reasonably priced. So far I have vanilla, peppermint bark, peppermint, cinnamon vanilla and salted caramel. Peppermint bark is my favourite. Before surgery, I never used to add anything to coffee but now I really look forward to it. Is there anything you like now that you weren't a fan of before surgery? And if you're a syrup lover like me, what's your favourite?

Accountability was awesome yesterday except for water. I did get in 64 oz but I usually aim for a fair bit more than that.

Menu:

B: I'm debating between a shake or an egg and bacon at work. Leaning towards the egg and bacon.

L: Protein option at work

D: We are having a pork roast and I'm planning to prepare it in the instant pot.

Weight finally dropped below 170 again to 169.1! Staying the course and hoping it continues to drop. It would be so nice to see something lower than 168 (my lowest number so far)

My photos are a couple from our dinner at Texas Roadhouse last year, me trying on a dress for last year's Christmas party that never did fit, and then just a pic of my outfit today because I like it. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend everyone!

Good morning menu folks! Teena, you look great! Enjoy the party.

I've been taking antibiotics for a tooth infection. Have you had trouble with antibiotics not working well because of poor absorption? The infection just hasn't all gone away. I'm worried.

Accountability: I had a small date cookie yesterday afternoon. I didn't get sick and I really enjoyed it. I'd like to avoid cookies this holiday season though. They are just too many calories.

QOTD: I'm not into syrups.

Menu:

Breakfast: 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham

Snack: Grape protein shake

Lunch: 2 TJ's chicken sausages, broccoli slaw

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast

Dinner: filet mignon, salad

Exercise: 60 minutes swimming

Oh wow! I hope the infection clears up soon. I've heard this can be an issue.

I have heard some meds don't absorb so it might be worth a call to your dentist to see if maybe you could start something else. I hope it heals soon.

Good morning! 8 more hours until the weekend! We got this, guys!

I am actually taking a lot of time off between Thanksgiving and New Year's because it's really the best time of the year to take vacation time without it causing me more of a headache at work. So the plan is to be SUPER ready for the holidays this year and...dammit...I am going to see every Christmas Tree lighting in the tristate region over the next 4 weeks!!!

QOTD: I liked a lof syrups when I was in my first year out. I followed a lot of EggFace's recipes and she uses a lot of flavors. But I no longer have a tolerance for things that taste artificial and chemically, so I am not using them anymore. I still have a few hanging around the kitchen in case I use them for shakes here and there, but I should probably throw them out.

Photo of us from Thanksgiving :)
