Good morning RNYers! I almost posted as a Friday! lol. Getting ahead of myself. I'm working from home today. So glad I didn't not have to drive in. Still cold here!

QOTD: What's something you've bought that you are truly glad you spent the money on- even something small. A couple of months ago, For my birthday DH bought me a down filled winter jacket. He got it at Costco but I had fully intended to get something at a thrift store. With the chilly temps this week I am so glad he got me that jacket.

Accountability- was okay yesterday. I did sample a very small piece of fudge. :(

Menu:

B: Protein Shake

L: Cheese omelette

D: Spaghetti without the noodles

S: Not sure yet.

Weight is 165.6 again and I'm still happy about it. Exercise and vitamins on track and will make a better effort with water again today.

Enjoy your Friday Eve everyone! Open topic for photo Friday. :)

Good morning menu folks! It is a bit warmer here today and supposed to be sunny and nice. I am really tempted to go for an outside walk today. I have a nice winter coat and I remembered my gloves today so I should be fine.

Yesterday was our office holiday party and I did some extra eating. I started with chicken and ham, but also had some potato salad and a cookie. The weight is up this morning, but only a pound so I'm okay with that. I will stick to plan today and work it off.

QOTD: I asked for a small waffle maker for Christmas and we decided to test drive it last weekend. I really like it and am glad that I decided to ask for it. I will use it over the holiday while I am off. I am also glad that I asked for the small one so that it doesn't take much storage space.

Menu:

Breakfast: scrambled egg, chicken

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake

Lunch: TJ's Herb Mustard salmon, salad

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, baby carrots

Dinner: TJ's chicken sausages, broccoli slaw

Exercise: walks, deep water aerobics

LOL for the longest time my "dream" was to get the waffle maker they always sell at Costco. But as a thin person that can eat waffles guilt-free. Now that I've settled in at a normal weight I've even toyed with the idea of just buying it, using it once and returning it just to say "mission accomplished ! " Unfortunately waffles, pancakes etc is the one food I know with 100% certainty will set off my dumping/RH or whatever that horrific physical reaction is. Been there, done that and it was quite uncomfortable.

I'm having problems with bread and rice, but the pancakes and waffles in small quantities are okay for some reason.

I make Keto style waffles and pancakes all the time. I use almond or coconut flour (or both combined) or shredded coconut. I use sweeteners for sweet- dessert version or salt and caraway savory pancakes or waffles. In the past I used whey proteins in the batter - not only my pancakes were great but also high in proteins. (I am allergic to dairy - sand since i found out I try to avoid that)

I have gone off the rails. Giving in to office catered-lunches, Christmas treats, and working so many hours I haven't gone to the gym much. I had a wake-up moment on Monday when I had an obgyn appointment and they took my weight. I gained 6 lbs! I'm terrified of showing a gain at my final month weigh in next Friday, worried I'll be denied by insurance or something. So! Back to the basics and white-knuckling through the massive amounts of delicious holiday food and coming here to check in. Goal is to at least try to get that extra 6 lbs off by next Friday *crossing my fingers some of it is jus****er*

qotd: for Christmas 3 years ago DH bought me a garden tiller. It was unexpected, and not something I'd specifically asked for, but because of that gift my few tomato and pepper plants has grown into 3 big garden beds (and expanding in the spring) in our little suburban yard! And my love of gardening and growing new things has definitely grown and expanded into preserving and canning.

breakfast: 2 eggs, 1/2 C cottage cheese

midmorning: protein shake

lunch: tuna creations packet on a bed of spinach

afternoon: Greek L&F

dinner: on my own so I might just stick with another protein shake
