Morning folks!! Last weekend of the new year-- I hope this has been a great one for you! It's too cold to run outside so treadmill today, ugh.

Im on day 2 of my year long goal. Going ok so far, still getting used to this new 'pattern.' I need to stay within my calorie range even with the treat-- yesterday I went over. (Each month focuses on a different 'treat'- this month is salty/crunchy, on odd #'d days only) I've successfully stayed away from all the other treats planned for other months of the year. And that was hard yesterday since all Christmas candy, chocolate etc is like 70% off. Temptation is real!

Qotd: and New Years plans/traditions?? Hubby will be in church. I'll be home-- I'll set an alarm for 11:55 to watch the ball drop and toast with the 'fancy glasses' with the kids and promptly go back to bed.

2.8 yeas out, haven't been up yet to weigh

m1: 1 egg, 4 oz ham

m2: grilled chicken salad

m3/ protein bar or drink

m4: taco salad

Snow started Falling already, so I'll workout indoors. Weight ended up being 208. Wtf?? I know I didn't gain 3#. Ugh.

Morning Peach & Co! Ugh I am still feeling super crappy from this head cold. I am doing everything I can to stop it from getting into my chest but it feels like a losing battle. The sub zero temps certainly aren't helping. But I have happily succumbed to some tv binge-watching and got through a whole season of the Great British Bake Off as well as the Marvelous Mrs. Mazel. I am really going to try to rally today and get out to the car dealership and buy my new car. My lease is up soon and I need to finish this process.

QOTD: No traditions, really. I used to do Boston's First Night when I lived closer, but I have no desire to drive in and deal with traffic and potential drunk drivers anymore. It was great when I could take the subway, though. As for this year, I am sick and it is cold. I plan to be in bed by 8pm #Iamsoold.

I'm really trying to wean myself off of the tremendous amount of treats in this house. I ate a few bites of a brownie yesterday and a piece of chocolate mint fudge. Not great. But we boxed up 95% of the fudge to send to Grim's bother overseas, and I had the strength to throw away the rest of it. Pie, cake, brownies, filo bites, etc... all in the trash. I feel like I should get some kind of prize, but unfortunately I was rewarded with a 1lb gain. FU, body!

Here is today's plan:

B: Protein Coffee & Hard Boiled Egg

S: Greek Yogurt

L: Chicken Soup

S: Chomps Meat Stick

D: Shredded Rotisserie Chicken

Absolutely you should get a prize! I've resorted to throwing out stuff like that in the past and sometimes I wrap it in the doggie pee pads to make sure I'm not tempted to take them back out of the trash (how sad is that?).

I can relate. I've covered really tempting food with the contents of the cat litter box. Definetely not getting that out!

Sorry you're not feeling well. But a day of binge watching TV seems like the right cure to me. What kind of car are you looking for?

Only thing left in my house is the sweet potato pie my MIL sent- no chance of me touching that. Baking is not her niche.

I see you 1# gain and raise you 2 Lol

We are so different in height that your 2lbs and my 1lb are probably statistically the same...

I am getting a 2018 Kia Niro, which is a hybrid SUV. It gets 51 MPG city! And since I am stuck in city traffic for up to 5 hours a day I am pretty psyched about the money I am going to save (not to mention the environment!).

Good morning Peach and weekenders! It is snowing here, but we're not supposed to get very much. It's pretty though.

We had nice time yesterday at Accokeek and found some goodies at the Visitor's Center. I got three new t-shirts so I have some that actually fit. Then we went out for lunch and I had a crab cake and some chard. It was really good and a nice treat. We also did our weekly run to Trader Joes for some basics.

When we got home, I started in on house cleaning and organizing. I spent several hours in the attic sorting, boxing, labeling and throwing away crap. I got all of the holiday stuff organized and my holiday baking things boxed and organized. I need to spend several more hours working on things up there, but it won't happen this weekend. I also went through the fridge and freezer and tossed some old things so I can see what I have.

Today is more cleaning and organizing of the house and I want to get in a swim later on.

Accountability: I did better yesterday with carbs. I had 4 pretzel bites and one ginger cookie, but otherwise I was on plan. The pretzel bites made me feel bloated and were another reminder that bread products just don't agree with me. Getting the cookies and fudge packed up is helping to reduce the temptation.

QOTD: I don't have any plans for New Year's Eve. I will probably be in bed fairly early and only wake up when folks in the neighborhood set off fire crackers. It scares the cats so we have to get them settled again.

Menu:

Breakfast: 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, hard boiled egg, turkey bacon

Snack: protein shake

Lunch: Turkey breast, broccoli slaw

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast or ham, apple

Dinner: pork chops, cauliflower, blueberries

Exercise: 1 hour of swimming

HW: 248+, SW (RNY: 2/28/17): 244, GW (10/17): 125; LW: 115; 45# regain (19-20); CW: 135.6; new goal: 135; Plastics: Ext mastopexy, Ext abdominoplasty-5/18/2018; diagnosed w/ gastroparesis 11/20.
