Hi there Menu Makers! How is everyone? Cold here and calling for a bit milder temps this weekend and more snow. Is anyone else feeling extra run down and tired with all this windchill and snow/grey days? Makes me want to sleep.

Accountability: I added in a Starbucks vanilla latte at work and extra cheese in the evening

QOTD: What is your go to beverage to get all your liquids in? What is your average number of glasses or ounces a day? How do you track your liquid intake? Do you "guess" or use an app? My go to beverages are: decaf coffee and tons of it (12-14 cups a day), blueberry tea and Diet Cranberry juice that I dilute with water. I average at least 120 ounces to 136 ounces a day, more on my heavy work out days. I do track my liquids and I have from day one. I use MFP and track the number of cups I drink each day. Its just routine for me now.

Time since surgery: 4 yrs + 2 months

TOTALS: 852 calories, 100 protein, 49 carbs

V: PatchMD patches are on

E: 5km hike in the snow with hubby & the dogs

Have an awesome day everyone!

Good morning. Gah, my accountability was just awful. I ate candy last night. No excuses--it was a dumb move.

QOTD: I drink a few cups of coffee in the morning, then sip plain water throughout the day. I recently discovered diet Snapple Iced Tea, which I have been having sometimes, too. In the evening, I often drink Propel for electrolytes, and sometimes hot tea.

Good morning menu folks! It is cold here and there is still a little ice left from yesterday. It is supposed to get warmer over the next few days, so that is good.

Yesterday was a stressful day at work, but I went straight to the pool afterward and did some laps and stayed for Aqua Zumba. By the time I was done, I was just tired but in a much better frame of mind.

Today I am working from home for a few hours before I head to the OBGYN appointment. I've packed my swim bag and will head straight to the pool again for some laps and deep water aerobics.

QOTD: I drink several cups of coffee a day and try to make about half of it decaf. I also drink plain ice tea, water with Mio drops and occasionally plain water. I usually have some PowerAde Zero after I swim.

Menu:

Breakfast: 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, hard boiled egg

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple

Lunch: chicken breast, baby carrots

Snack: protein shake, string cheese

Dinner: it will be late when I get home so it may be turkey and salad

Exercise: swimming and deep water aerobics

Morning Everyone! Im up and at 'em and ready to face to world. Playing nursemate today to my hubby who's having his vasectomy. I kind of wonder what'll be like in the waiting room, will I be amongst other wives, should we all like high-five each other? LOL, I've got millions of funny scenarios running through my head.

Accountability: slightly off due to a headache from HELL last night. Was in no position to cook, so I had turkey sausage, cheese stick on an English muffin. Carbs & calories were a bit high, but nothing earth shattering. I've certainly done far, far worse.

Trying not to focus so much on the ridiculousness that is the scale; so I'm picking three positive things to focus on today. 1) my skin has been awesome, clear & healthy looking; 2) my exercise regime is consistent and sustainable 3) I've not had a single cookie, cake, candy, etc since 12/28.

Qotd: water is my go to, ice cold. Pre-op I only like room temp water. When I tire of it I use crystal light, grape or strawberry flavored; or diet raspberry Snapple. Occasionally I'll buy a diet lemonade. I get in 64-100oz a day. I don't track in an app, but by size of the container I drink from. I have a 40oz water bottle, and Snapple/crystals lights are always 16oz. 1 water bottle during the work day and 3 'others' usually has me in the clear. In this cold weather I've been having s/f & regular hot cocoa mix, but I'm about to back off of that.

208 today, 2.8 Years out

m1: egg/egg white, 3 turkey sausage links, cheese stick

m2-4: unsure depends on how things play out today. Tuna is high on my list of wants. I still have chicken thighs out for curry chicken too.

What is the standard recovery time for the big "V" these days, I am sure the procedure must be less invasive since this old guy looked into it. Thanks
