Hi everyone, how are you all? Did you have a good weekend? Mine was busy but great. We got a huge dumping of snow here and the temps dropped a lot so we have ice with a huge layer of snow over it. Not fun.

Accountability: well.....Saturday night we went over to a friends house for dinner. She served lasagna, fresh french bread, Cesar salad and apple pie for dessert. Beverage choices were red wine, beer or tap water. UGH. I had a tiny piece of lasagna and some salad and I had some peach tea bags in my purse so I drank hot peach tea pretty much all night. She sent half o the apple pie home with us and I had a slice, it needs to leave our house.

QOTD: Tell me what is your favourite household life hack or cleaning tip? We have a ceiling fan in our master bedroom and it gets really dusty. To clean the blades and not have all the dust fall on the bed/carpet I put an old pillow case over the blades and run it along the blades and all the dust and crap falls in the pillow case and viola cleaned ceiling fan.

Oh man, I am not looking forward to going to work today and seeing all of the depressed, angry, and overtired Pats fans. People are gong to be sooooo pissy.

Accountability: Saturday was terrible--I was really off my game. I had been so good since New Year's--only little bites of "off plan" food until this weekend, when I had: candy, a cinnamon bun, a potato skin, and movie popcorn. Yikes. Yesterday was better--I made a yummy spicy chicken chili in the slow cooker, and it was good and filling.

QOTD: I can't think of any good tips, other than that my Dyson vacuum cleaner is a miracle. I also love the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser :)

Good morning menu folks! So sorry to the Pats fans and yippee to Peach! I didn't really watch the game, just checked in occasionally for the highlights. Sounds like it was a good game.

It's cold, icy and windy here this morning. I am teleworking but I when I took my wife to work the roads were a little icy left over from the snow-sleet-rain yesterday. I really don't like driving on icy roads in the dark.

I got a fair amount of preparation done this weekend for my recovery down time. Next weekend I will do a good house clean so things are decent until I can do more. I also got in swimming both Saturday and Sunday and an Aqua Zumba class on Saturday.

Menu:

Breakfast: leftover mushroom omelet, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, cashews

Lunch: TJ's chicken sausages, broccoli slaw

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple, almonds

Dinner: pork chops, cauliflower, blueberries

Exercise: an hour of swimming

Hi there. I started using the cappuccino protein powder because of you! I kept seeing it on your menu and got curious. I have now expanded to chocolate and caramel macchiato. Just wanted to say thanks!

Thanks. It certainly is one of my favorite flavors. Some days I also have ice tea or fuzzy navel depending on what I am in the mood for. It helps to have variety.

Good morning. Starting day 5 of liquids, and so far I've dropped 2 lbs a day since after a 5 lb loss the first day. It's likely water weight, but it's still encouraging and motivating me to stay the course. I had a gain over the last month which I attribute a lot to switching from the birth control pill to an IUD, since my diet didn't change, so I've just been losing that few lbs extra I had gained.

Qotd: not sure I have any hacks or tips, I clean pretty traditionally lol. Oh, for cleaning the microwave, I put a glass filled with about a cup of vinegar and turn the microwave on for about 2 mins. All the buildup just wipes right off.

menu: a yogurt in the AM to take my meds with (low carb yogurt is approved for "liquid" on my plan) then protein shakes, water, broth, and a SF pudding or jello at night. Yay.

I wasn't allowed SF pudding, but I *was* allowed SF Jello, which I ate with abandon since it was the only "solid" thing I was allowed! It was a life saver!

I can have the pudding and yogurt, and I can have strained soups and cream of wheat (gross anyway lol)

LOL I LOVE cream of wheat. Not plain tho. I put spray butter and mash up a banana in it when I eat it. I've always eaten it that way. Although I've only had it 1 or 2x since surgery during the pureed stage.

My husband dumps a pile of maple syrup on it.

Lol yeah most of the things I can think of to add to make it taste better aren't allowed right now (too many carbs). I do have some Torani SF syrups, but lately that is upsetting my stomach
