I find that the fat helps me stay fuller longer.

Yup, fattier ground beef, thighs instead of breasts, and juicier steaks like rib eyes over something like a sirloin here too!

The fat is also good for us, and definitely makes my pouch much happier!

I can't do the leaner meats either. It makes me feel like I'm going to choke or vomit. If I introduce a little extra fat it's seems a little easier. Especially with chicken breast.

Good morning menu folks! We had sleet and freezing rain last night so I am getting to work from home today. I like that I don't have to scrape ice from the car and skate down the road.

Daisy, I am so sorry that you are in pain. I know what you mean about Tylenol not working for pain. For all of my dental pain that's all that they wanted me to take since I am allergic to Codeine, but I demanded a limited prescription of Percoset for the worst of it. I am nervous about my upcoming surgery and what they will send me home with. OTC Ibuprofen would work on the pain but can't have that. Oh well.

QOTD: I like to swim and I like animals, but I'm not sure if it would freak me out to swim with the rays. Now that I am more healthy, I would consider it.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, ham, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple

Lunch: chicken breast, baby carrots

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, string cheese, cashews

Dinner: pork chops, cauliflower

Exercise: I'd like to get to the pool for an hour today

So many early birds here! I'm sorry your back hurts. I don't think Tylenol works on much of anything to be honest, so I'm hoping I won't need anything in the near future.

Accountability: Wine again and too many almonds. I'm back in my weight range but only barely.

Is anyone interested in a group AMAW/CAMAW, maybe in early March? I would run it if so.

QOTD: I've never swum with anything intentionally. I would be interested in doing it with dolphins maybe but probably not stingrays or sharks.

1 year, 10 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Vegetarian chili

S: Cottage cheese or yogurt

What's a AMAW/CAMAW? Sorry, I'm new to this group. But if it's a challenge sign me up.

AMAW = all meat all week

CAMAW = critters + all meat all week (critters = animal products other than meat, like dairy and eggs)

In both, no carbs at all: no veggies, no fruits, no grains.
