Morning weekenders!

And just like that, it's Sunday!

Im up and watching the Olympic closing ceremonies, having a coffee.

qotd: we're gearing up for major renos on our house over the next couple of years. I'm skipping ahead to the decorating in my planning and wishlist making today. Do you like colour in your house? Or more neutral?

I go back and forth, but tend towards neutrals. I'd love to be bold, but I always worry I'll get bored of it too soon, or pick something that will look dated.

i am loving the trend of colourful kitchen cabinets though.

accountability: on point

Menu:

B: coffee and premier

brunch: cottage cheese with berries and maybe a breakfast sausage

D: will depend on what meal prep I get through for the week, I think it will be salmon and some kind of veggie.

have good one!

Good morning! Nice to see you back :)

I read yesterday but didn't get a chance to post because I spent almost the whole day in the kitchen, making food for the week. I made cloud bread, fathead dough, and some spaghetti squash & ricotta pancakes, amongst a few other things. For some reason even though I have been great about sticking to calorie goals and I have been running faithfully every day, I actually gained weight. ?!? Gah.

QOTD: I love color! My last condo was completely neutral because it was an open floor plan and I had a hard figuring out how to do it without looking like a checkerboard. But when I fixed it up for rental, John helped me and it looks gorgeous with color on the walls. I'm sad I didn't do it, sooner. We currently have a bathroom that needs to be painted (it's a yucky apricot) and I am lobbying for a deep blue but Grim isn't buying it... We'll see who winds that fight ;)

I always hate when we feel like we are doing everything right and we gain. Luckily we know enough to stay the course until it settles down (though I'm always stressed a bit until it does)...

Oh please no! He did cut the spaghetti squash for me, though which was the closest he's ever come to a vegetable.

They didn't hold together like a pancake, more like a "scramble" but they were really good. Ricotta, egg, Parmesan, squash and sage. Very tasty!

Good morning weekenders! It's another rainy day but not so cool. I am looking forward to tomorrow when the weather is supposed to be dry and maybe I can get out and have a walk.

Today I am having my first post-op outing. A friend is coming to do a few things around the house and plans to take me to Trader Joe's afterward. I love my weekly TJ's outings and I miss alot of the products that I get there. It will be particularly nice to get out since I have been mostly housebound since I came home from the hospital. I will try hard not to overdo things though.

I love to have color in the house, but we haven't repainted anything since we bought our house 7 years ago. The living-dining room is two toned blue and it pretty, but I would so much rather have a mellow green. It is just so much work and money and it just hasn't been a priority. I also love to have a bright yellow bedroom. It means that I wake up to sunshine and it makes me smile.

Menu: Still slowly moving into a normal diet. I have an appetite, but get a full or bloated feeling pretty quickly. I start with my dense protein though so I am sure to get that in.

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, turkey bacon, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal

Snack: Premier protein shake, apple, almonds

Lunch: TJ's chicken sausage, broccoli slaw

Snack: 3 oz turkey breast, cantaloupe

Dinner: not sure, maybe a pork chop or chicken breast

Snack: Quest bar for extra protein

L: Egg salad (1 egg, 1 ts bolthouse farms yogurt cilantro dressing, chopped lettuce_

D: either homemade curried chicken or a half of a salmon steak. Not sure yet.

Snack: still have some protein to get in for my goal so not sure - maybe pistachios or yogurt

Best!
