Punching head Hunger in it's stupid face

The past few weeks have been...rough.

I've gotten some nasty comments on my lack of chest/butt. And have had some frustrating things happen as far as roommate situation. Aaaand it's been super busy acedmemically.

Last night all I wanted was some (read:tons of) chocolate and a dt. Dr Pepper (my true love before surgery). I wanted to binge, HARD! I tried to justify it because I was "hungry". I even drove to Walmart to get the sort of snacks I keep out of my home.

I sat in the parking lot for the better half of 30 minutes fighting with my head. Ultimantly I drove away, no extra food in hand.

I am stronger than my addictions. Take that emotional eating and head hunger!

Thank you! I kept thinking about how much happier I would be if I said "no" then give into the cravings. I was right! Feeling stronger mentally today.

Congratulations for stopping when you did. You followed your old instincts by getting in the car and driving to food, but you stopped. YEAH!

I've not been as successful as you. I drove, got food, ate 1 piece of everything, then got sick and threw everying out before I got home. I hope next time to be as successful as you.

My sister who fights anxiety and used to be admitted to ER about 5 times a week for chest pain, finally got to a point where she would drive to the hospital and sit in the car. She now only goes to ER a couple times a year. We all have to fight our disorders.

Wow! Good for your sister and her progress that she's making.

Its truly hard to put into words the physical pull/need of wanting to give into your addiction or anxiety. It's like this weight is on my chest, similar to a compulsion. In the past, eating released a little bit of the pressure that builds up in my chest. But much like your sis, I know that it will fade.

Wow. I'm in awe. You go girl. You deserve a gold medal (Olympic style) for your self restraint.

Thank you! Treating myself today with some fancy, protein packed steak (dare I say that it's better than an Olympic medal?!) that's how I'm going to beat this addiction!
