Good morning. I'll try to post the menu every day during CAMAW week. It is sometimes hard depending on work priorities. I already have a dozen urgent emails I'm ignoring to post this ;)

I had a fun swim this morning. I'm not a very fast swimmer, but it has been my main rebuild exercise. I'm really starting to feel stronger because of it. However, I'm almost brutally slow in my lane. The guy next to me is pretty fast and we ended up together coming off the turn and I decided I'd see what it took for me to keep up. Damn if I didn't do it :) I was dead and thankfully it was time to change to the backstroke so that gave me a chance to recover. I think I'll start pushing my pace after today. On a separate note, sadly, the snowshoes got put away this weekend (well, there's always next winter). My wife made fun of me as I put them away as there is snow in the forecast (well it might last until sunrise before it melts in the sun). I will see the snow fall tonight as it is scheduled to start before my WLS support group time (haven't missed a month yet).

This weekend was fun, we went Outlet Mall shopping and I found some interesting things. I've been searching UnderArmour for their Reactor jacket all winter and found one in XL and for 50% off (and the color I wanted). Luck Man! I also found that they have ARC'TERYX outlet stores. I never saw one before. I love that brand. Found a cool sweater jacket for $90 (regular $215).

QOTD - I guess the only thing I'd save in a fire (or at least try to save) is an Afghan that my mother knit for me when I was in college. She passed away in 1993 and not a day goes by that I don't think about her. She never got to see all the cool things we have today - like the internet or movie theaters with closed captioned movies (my parents were deaf).... She would have loved to live in these times.

B - 5 oz Strawberry Fage yogurt with a tbsp of Quest PB protein powder, .5oz mixed almonds and sunflower seeds

S - .5oz cheese and egg-whites from 2 hard boiled eggs

L - Small Salad (as you may recall I'm on Coumadin and I have to keep my K level steady every day, so I'll eat just enough greens to do that - with no other veg added); 3oz Chicken

S - Protein shake

D - Small salad and 3.5oz Brisket (from Costco - man that stuff is good)

S - .5 oz Almonds

HW 510 / SW 424/ GW 175 (stretch goal to get 10 under) / CW 160 (I'm near the charts ideal weight - wonder if I can stay here)

I am excited!! The past few weeks have been emotionally draining. I am thankful for AMAW! I feel like I have got to get the carbs under control. The struggle is real!!

It looks like my husband will be deploying for 6 months in June. I have also decided to give my notice today at work today. I took a second job a few months ago, working night shift and I am miserable. I hate being away from my family at night.

QOTD- The tablecloth is really sweet!! One of my most valued material objects is I have all the birthday cards and letters that my Grandmother sent me over the years. She has been gone 16 years on April 1st. When I am really missing her or needing some of her wisdom, I read them.

Weight Sunday morning, 180.4

I am doing AMAW and here is my plan

Black coffee with miralax

B- 4 oz black forrest ham

L-3 chicken skewers

S- chomps

D-4 ounces grilled steak

I will also bring an extra chomps to work with me in case I get hungry. Lots of water today and my vitamins. Stay strong!!
