Well tomorrow is my surgery day and I'm starting to feel a little anxious and have second thoughts pause. I know I need this surgery to lose the weight and become healthy again. But that hasn't stopped me from becoming extremely anxious and worried. For the first time ever I am having second thoughts about the type of surgery I will be getting. I've been thinking about weight regain and if it would have been a better decision for me to get DS because of my high BMI. My mind is so troubled right now I guess I just need some encouragement.

EVERYBODY is anxious/nervous the day before surgery. Second thoughts are fairly common as well. You're about to go on the easiest diet you've ever experienced. You should thoroughly concentrate on enjoying the weight loss process. Learn to love your new body. Good luck !

I remember lying on the bed in surgery looking up st the over head light, I almost blurted out stop I change my mind!! I was that nervous. I'm so happy I did it, the new life I have is amazing. Just think of the reasons that brought you to where you are right now. You got this. Good luck tomorrow. Big hugs to you

That is one of my fears that I'll get on the op table and tell them to stop lol. At least I know I'm not alone now hehe. Thank you.

Totally normal to be anxious and nervous. I sure was but I did it and its the best thing I ever did for myself.

We have lots of SMO (Super Morbidly Obese) people here on the boards who had RNY done and lost all their excess weight and are maintaining their loss. You can do this even with a high BMI.

Stick around and let us know how your surgery went. Join the menu thread if you want and make some friends. We are all here cheering you on and supporting you. See you on the losers bench!
