I am sure you all know me and I am an old lady who tells it like it is. I want ALL of you to have success and so I say this with love. Some Portions are read make me sad. I agree with eggs BUT only one . I agree with baby bell but only one. I had my pouch checked and it's same size as post surgery and I feel it's because I eat so little at a time. I am totally crap at vitamins ...slap slap. I learned the hard way but PLEASE watch portions. Love you guys

Amen. When I see someone a month after surgery eating two eggs, with melted cheese, and toast, I know they are doomed.

I have no idea, but it happens. We've seen someone eat a taco on the way home from the hospital.

I think sometimes the lack of feeling makes it easier for them. I felt full all the time and seriously ate 1oz weighed portions.

At 14 months out I can eat two eggs though, just not combined with much. Breakfast for me is normally 1 egg, 2oz of sausage, and 1oz of cheese.

Yeah I felt bloated pretty much my whole first week maybe week and a half. NO desire for anything, including my liquids. I ate one piece of bacon and maybe half of one scrambled egg this morning, one month out. Without the bacon I can eat the whole egg.

Your capacity will increase quickly and 2 eggs will no longer seem like a huge deal. The OP's comments should apply to newbies but those who have had the surgery for years pretty much eat the portions of normal thin people.

Yeah, my husband is 10 months out from RNY, down over 200lbs, and can eat about what I assume a normal light eater can eat, but I think my surgery has been forcing him to go back to basics, CAMAW. he's not much of a cook, so he's just eating what I eat :P

EVeryones pouch is not created equally I guess . I have to weigh and measure . It's possible that it's bc I'm a revision from

lap band but I've never felt that full feeling from eating one egg or one baby bell . It's a struggle for me . Especially after the first 18 months were gone and the real hunger returned . I struggle with the feeling of not feeling satisfied with my measured portion . I just have to stay ultra low carb so that the cravings stay at bay and I can make sure im

doing all I can to know it's not head hunger or carbs sending me into a desire to eat .

I can barely eat one plain egg (bleh, eggs are evil) or 1-2 ounces of plain fish a month out, and that's if I don't eat for hours after. I sometimes have to wait 45 minutes instead of 30 to drink, forget eating extra. Eeesh.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much...the life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully. -- Seneca, On the Shortness of Life
