Hi Menu Makers, how is everyone? I am good. Hope all of you that got snow are doing okay!

Accountability: I didn't make it to the gym, I feel asleep on the couch at 5:30pm!! I had this extreme tired spell come over me, it was not RH, I ate lunch at 12:30pm and had a cup of tea at 3:30pm so I guess I was just tired. I woke up at 8:00pm. I had one piece of toast with PB and went up to bed.

QOTD: What movie or TV show have you recently watching on Netflix that you highly recommend? I just finished "The Hitman's Bodyguard." It's awesome! Its action packed, funny, and non stop edge of your seat thriller. And you can't ever go wrong with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson! I am currently watching "Unlocked" with Noomi Rapace and its really good.

Time since surgery: 4 yrs + 4 mos

B: decaf coffee all day with 1 1/2 vanilla PP used as creamer, Activia vanilla yogurt

L: romaine lettuce/strawberries/2 hard boiled eggs/pumpkin seeds/balsamic

S: two baby bel cheese

D: 4oz filet mignon + 1/2 cup steamed green beans (that I didn't eat last night)

S: SF vanilla pudding

Totals: 918 calories, 95 protein, 41 carbs

V: patches are on + extra oral dry D3 & B12

E: 20 km stationary bike ride + upper body day

My viewing activity shows a lot of Forensic Files,Law and Order SVU, The End of the F*#(@@ World(teen angst..it was fun), Carrie Filby or Philby?, and a documentary I really liked was Heroin (e).

I'm going to eat my same old thing plus spinach. I'm working on getting my folate level up.

Morning!

Wow! your body must have needed that extra sleep. Glad you could get some rest.

A: yesterday I did not hit my protein goals, or really any goals. I typically "save" my calories till the end of the day, so I don't start eating till after noon. I hit the end of the day, ready to eat my last meal and man, I could not do it. Took maybe a bite and hand to put in the fridge.

QUOTD: I'm enjoying Riverdale right now. It's sort of trashy and low quality this season, but I enjoy it. I think only season 1 is on Netflix, but you can watch it for free on the CW app.

I have always admired your tenacity and your goal oriented attitude.

Question: why do you wait till afternoon to eat? I'm honestly curious. I wake up that I am starving and can't even imagine waiting till afternoon.

Great question (and thanks)!

One reason is that I work out in the mornings. Eating before or right after upsets my stomach. So I will sip on my protein shake in the morning.

But I've also found that once I start eating (maybe it's the feeling of chewing?) it wakes up the hunger-sort of speak. I also enjoy eating at night. So this way I can eat before bed without worry over my calorie intake. In general it just helps me feel mentally satisfied.

I see. I totally relate with the before workout food. I'm the same way. Can't eat and workout. So I too sip on my protein shake until lunch. I guess I consider my protein shake my breakfast.

Good morning menu folks. We survived the snow and got only 5-6 inches. I went out every hour or so and cleared the car so it didn't freeze. While I tried to be careful, I think I overdid things because my belly is really aching this morning. I am trying to do some telework, but between problems with the network and an achy belly, I may call it a sick day.

I may go out for lunch with a friend today depending on how I feel.

Menu:

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, cantaloupe

Lunch: something protein forward

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple

Dinner: Not sure

Exercise: I may do a short walk

HW: 248+, SW (RNY: 2/28/17): 244, GW (10/17): 125; LW: 115; 45# regain (19-20); CW: 135.6; new goal: 135; Plastics: Ext mastopexy, Ext abdominoplasty-5/18/2018; diagnosed w/ gastroparesis 11/20.
