Do you take vitamin D ?

I know that calcium is absorbed better when taken with vitamin D so maybe add that to your regimin

:)

Yes, I started taking extra Vit D a couple of months ago. Is it necessary to take it in the same dose with the calcium?

A few things are really important: vit D3, calcium, magnesium, other micro-minerals, plus vitamin K2.

Vit D helps us absorb calcium, vitamin K2 puts it into bones. With not enough K2 or magnesium, you body may absorb the calcium but it may not know what to do with it - and you may end up with calcium deposits inside your joints, arteries, etc. We need K2 to put the calcium into the bones.

also, you might want to do some reading up on K2. There are two major kinds, MK4 and MK7. Although there are conflicting reports, most studies seem to suggest that the MK7 version is more easily absorbed. Or at least from the reading I've done on it..
