Morning everyone!

I hope the weather was as gorgeous for all of you as it was for us yesterday! I actually got a little sun burn!

The walk was great, and my nephew's birthday was a success. Then we went to Red Lobster with my in-laws. It's my mother in laws favourite.

I'm not a huge fan, but at least it is easy to pick protein forward options off their ridiculously large, repetitive for no reason, menu hahaha

qotd: do you watch sports? I've gotten into baseball the last few years, and really enjoy watching it live.

Our local can-am team season opener is this week, so we're hoping to check that out.

Ive also been to a few football games, and I enjoy that too.

Dont tell the other Canadians, but I'm not that into hockey. I like watching it on tv, but live, not so much. Mostly because of the fans, hahah

Menu:

B: coffee and premier

the rest of the day is up in the air. I'm making a waffle brunch for my mother in law. I'll probably have a bit of bacon and skyr with berries.

have a great one!

Good morning,

Happy Mother's Day to all the real and furry mothers.

I got up at 430 to take my meds because I can't eat or drink coffee for two hours so I went back to sleep. I was sleeping good when the alarm went off. It took me an half hour to get up.

Our weather been really cold the last two days and raining off and on. Hope the sun comes out today.

My friend took me out to lunch yesterday. Then after dropping her off, I went and got ice cream cone. Shame on me

Qotd not really into sports. I like ice skating and gymnastics. I like certain sports live like baseball and car racing but don't hardly do since money is tight.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L I know my dad is grilling steak

D not sure because I don't want to cook because I'm having a tooth pulled on Monday morning and don't want leftovers. I don't know when I'll be able to eat. Probably will bring something home from my Dad's.

Have a good day

Red Lobster biscuity things and a waffle brunch are a lot to resist. This morning, I had a rhubarb smoothie. Rhubarb is poking up out of the dirt here in northern Minnesota. I simmer a bunch of cut up rhubarb into a sauce before freezing it in individual portions; today's concoction also included plain kefir, Unjury vanilla protein powder, wheat germ, milk, frozen spinach leaves, banana and strawberry. QOTD: volleyball is my favorite among other no-contact sports. I despise extreme fighting; talk about stress-eating just thinking about how, not only does this "sport" exist, but draws cheering crowds.

Mornin' All!

well yesterday was the first day I've missed posting here in forever. It's because I went to a sunrise yoga class -and DH took our old car in at 7:30 am for a tune-up and to see why the emissions light had come on. Well, it turns out the car (a 17-year-old Honda with over 200K miles on it) needed $1600 worth of repairs, and it was no longer safe to drive. DH texted me to come to car place after yoga and not meet at the coffee shop (where we'd planned). So off I went. Plowing $1600 into a 17-year-old car with a book value (IF it was in decent shape - which needing those kinds of repairs, ours clearly was not) of about $2000 made absolutely no financial sense, so we spent pretty much all day yesterday looking at cars, test driving cars, figuring out which one we wanted (we both liked different ones, of course....). We finally settled on a 2015 Honda Civic SE which had just come off of a lease and was in beautiful condition - with only 13K miles on it. So we should be set for several years! I hated to spend the money, though - but then, we really didn't have any options. We were not going to drive an unsafe car - or put all that money into a car we may have otherwise only had another year or so. So...to make a short story long, that's why I didn't post yesterday!

accountability wasn't that great yesterday due to meeting some friends for lunch. That makes three restaurant-eating days in a row. No more for awhile. It's so much easier to control my intake when I'm eating at home. Not that I ever really "blow it" any more when I'm out - but I almost always end up eating more than I would at home.

2 years 11 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, homemade blackberry sauce

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax chocolate latte shake

L: maybe pulled pork or maybe just yogurt with high fiber cereal on top

D: grilled salmon and veggies (or pulled pork if I don't end up eating that for lunch)

ex: yoga or Aqua Zumba
