OK so while the last 2 weeks have been such a struggle to lose weight (guess I hit a serious plateau) I have finally broke down and purchased a pair of jeans. Now before surgery I was wearing 56"s which were quite baggy. I became partially disabled back in 02 having my legs basically crushed while in the Navy so I needed baggy pants to use my braces and such when needed. Also it made it easier to let the doctor see my leg without having to take my jeans completely off. But since surgery on Halloween and the 3 months of optifast I did before surgery I have dropped about 180 lbs. As my weight has came down I was gradually wearing older pants of mine that I had outgrown but would now fit. But even then the leg parts just seemed so damn baggy I was not enjoying being scene in them. I had planned to wait to buy new clothes till I hit lower but while in the store the other day my mom really wanted me to try on some pants that fit better and I found a pair of really nice looking Levi's that fit so perfect. They make my legs look so good. I went with 38"x 30's and they are much more tapered then the baggy style I normally buy, but still no way I will ever buy skinny jeans. So I went from 56" x 32" to a 38" x 30 in about 9-10 months. Anyway I am just kinda proud of myself and while I dont like bragging I just really wanted to post something I feel good about too and not just the struggles I go through.

I hope everyone is have a fantastic day and staying healthy.

Good stuff! Congrats!

Dont buy too much too many of those 38's . You still have lots of time to get even smaller.

Awesome! That's quite an accomplishment.

And never say never when it comes to those skinny jeans! I now own two pair. My issue is that my butt (which was never huge compared to the rest of me) shrunk to nothing. I mean seriously, just bone. So if I get anything other than "slim fit" they look RIDICULOUS. And even with the slim fits I get a lot of "your jeans are looking a little baggy there, man". Ugh. So I broke down and bought a pair of skinny jeans, and when my daughter saw them she said "finally, you own a pair of pants that fit". Haha. Even with those, while the legs generally are snug (although not overly so to be honest), there is still plenty of room in the butt.

In all seriousness, I think the excess skin around my waist exacerbates the issue. If I could buy down an inch of two on the waist size it might help, but I have some extra skin that requires me to buy slightly larger waist sizes than I might need to without it.

I think you would probably agree that these are all good problems to have. No complaints, but I NEVER saw myself as a guy who would buy skinny jeans!!
