Hello Friends! I slept until 5:45 and slept through the whole night! I think I am going to like this whole unemployed thing, haha. Yesterday was a bummer. The only people who were in the office were there because it was our last day and we were waiting for our offboarding meeting. It was basically a *****fest. Then I left early and went to meet some of my fav coworkers out for drinks and laughs. It was a nice way to end.

Today is the day I find out if there is big news. Swing every chicken. Cross every finger and toe! It would be amazing to be unemployed for like 5 hours before finding out I have a dream job. But I am trying not to get too emotionally attached to the idea... Ahhhh!

QOTD: What is your favorite genre of book? My wonderful group of friends from my book club have been meeting monthly for 15 years! Crazy right? We are such an awesome group. But none of us like the same genre of book at all. We have someone who always picks magical realism which I hate, and another one who always picks 19th century romance, which is also not my thing... I love history and historical fiction books! I'm currently reading Killers of the Flower Moon which mixes my love for history and my love for true crime. It's pretty much perfect :)

Hoping to stay very very active today. I will definitely being saying hello to the gym, which I haven't been to in a long time! And if the weather holds out I'd like to find a nice walk.

Good morning! Pushing the fluids for the last couple days must be working because I'm back almost down to my lowest weight this morning, and I'll take it! Three month checkup today and it will be my first lab draw since before surgery. I expect everything to be good though, I'm consistent about my vitamins.

I will be cleared for raw fruit and veggies today. I'll steer clear of fruit except maybe some berries in my yogurt, but I'm excited about veggies. I bought and sliced up a cucumber and red pepper last night and made a jalapeño ranch dip using Greek yogurt as the base. I will have a snack later today.

QotD: I will read literally anything with a good recommendation. I love historical fiction too, and have a fascination with the Tudor era (Phillips Gregory writes wonderful and well researched historical fiction for this era). I do gravitate to YA fantasy. I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan, I even have a HP tattoo on my back. Currently I'm reading a series--two series, actually--by Sarah J Mass that are sold in the YA section but they are a bit too mature for me to feel comfortable recommending them to an actual high school student, but that's the ex teacher in me coming out. I went into teaching English at the secondary level because I loved the literature. Ok that was long winded, I love books.

breakfast: coffee with Premier

lunch: 2 oz deli turkey with Swiss cheese and mustard

snack: sliced cucumber and yogurt dip. I might add some unflavored protein powder to my dip. Maybe.

dinner: I have chicken marinating for the grill, and I'll throw some asparagus on as well

Fingers and toes crossed for you JB!! Oh and legs too -- I can cross those now!

QOTD - I am an avid reader of just about anything except romance but my favorites are fantasy and micro-histories -- I love when a talented historian picks an event and then goes deep into it! Right now I'm reading Operation Thunderbolt about the hijacking to Entebbe and I just finished Dark Queen which was the end of an amazing series about a vampire hunter-Cherokee skin walker.

accountability - did not get all my water in yesterday so have to make up for it today. Also was reminded that just because the menu says chicken breast, it doesn't mean boneless/skinless - had to do some deconstructing of dinner last night, lol.

b- coffee + pp

s - coffee + pp

lunch - cheese stick and sausage stick

d - tbd, I'm going out with a coworker after our meetings are done - will probably have chicken or beef though

Happy Wednesday everyone!

hi all - post title is funny? whats on you? my answer, clothes and loose skin- lol

yesterday I didn't go to the gym but worked in the house. cleaned some things, got the bath vanities in (faucets not hooked up yet). flooring is down and being grouted. downstairs flooring about 1/3 done. still have some self leveling concrete to pour before saturday so maybe tonight we can do that. planted some strawberries, peppers, red cabbage, and zuchinni and finished my herb gate project- will send pic on friday. the 'bigger' growing things are going in larger pots and smaller things in the raised beds (which are NOT put together yet still). My tomato's are getting really mad not being planted.

I made crack chicken for dinner and DH had chips with his.

QOTD:I like fiction suspense, followed by self help type books. My last one was Own your day own your life by aubrey marcus (the owner on onnit products). it was really interesting. I have audible.

Food for today:

coffee

protein pancakes

leftover crack chicken

water

dinner will be pizza /salad OR .50 wing night.

OH forgot- gym tonight is arms and cardio which I hate. fine doing the arms but the dude who did my dexa said to up my cardio at the gym and not lower my calories. I don't want to drop to 800 to see a weight number drop on the scale. I'm not sure I physically can go there right now to that little in calories so guess what, have to physically work harder.
