What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Hiya Kids! Welcome back to Monday! I hope you all had great weekends. I certainly did! My wonderful and talented Grim showed some of his woodworking at a museum this weekend...and over all of his objections, I made a big deal and invited people to come to the opening and celebrate. His stuff was as beautiful as anything else in that museum :)

Accountability: Not great. I am doing exactly what I was worried about... I am off schedule without a job and I'm grazing. Plus with all of the celebrating we did this weekend there were lots of small bites of crap. I even managed to put myself into an RH episode from just a few bites of cake yesterday. I need to CUT IT OUT so that my summer clothes fit a little better!

QOTD: If you were forced to choose just one dense protein to eat for the rest of your life, what would you choose? I hate eating one thing over and over, so think I would choose chicken, because I think I can prepare it enough different ways to continue to feel versatile. But I would really miss steak!

Glad you made a big deal for Grim, it is a big deal.

I took my summer clothes out last night. Not as bad as I expected. Whew! Because of my height- trouser style top pants were always iffy anyway so didn't surprise me that two pairs of shorts and one capris with that look were wearable but not the best.

OK I'm obviously getting up way too early if I am a first responder on this thread.

QOTD: I hear you on the steak vs chicken thing. I guess long term team Chicken

B: coffee latte, eggs on bed spinach (new fav)

2nd B: Overnight oats w/blueberries

L: chicken salad

D: TBD

Snacks: leftover chicken veggies soup, protein drink and ??

Ex: might try a yoga class at the gym, but they just put new flooring in and I don't know if the smell has disappeared

Our local shelter has a yoga with cats happening next month so I am trying to limber up and do some at home so that I am ready to do it in public, lol. I did my first online class this morning and whooo-boy... I am no longer flexible! Yikes.

Hello everyone!

I was well behaved today. No extra or off limit foods.

Congrats to Grim! It is a big deal to be able to exhibit work!

B: protein shake

L: optibar and miso soup

D: protein shake and a cup of diced cucumber with a little soy sauce

QOTD: I think I would choose chicken as well as it is pretty versatile!

have fun everyone!

Ok, I have been dying to tell you ever since you said you are in NZ... I have been watching a NZ reality show on Netflix called The Big Ward, which I am a little obsessed with. It follows a few people on their journey to get WLS and I find it so much better than My 600lb Life, because it doesn't feel as exploitive. I love the people, especially that sugar addict who lives in the trailer with her son... It's interesting to see the culture of fast food in another country, too.

Thanks for mentioning this. I have been fed up with 600 pound life because I agree that they exploit them. Too much time showing them washing and eating. We get the picture already...

Totally agree: the camera's lingering on their eating, and the sad spectacle of them struggling to bathe, is designed just to shock and to shame, which is unkind.

I can'****ch "My 600 lb Life". Not only is it exploitive, but they manage to find some really bizarre people to feature, probably to juice up their ratings. I'm glad it's making the public more aware of WLS, but often it's not in a good way. I wish they'd feature more "normal" people (there are, of course, some of those on the show, too). But then....ratings (I guess...).
