What does your doctor say? My plan too does not allow snacking in the initial stages. We are allowed 3 meals of up to 1 cup of food. I also have a bedtime snack as I was not eating enough food otherwise.

You are so cute and sassy now, along with being thin. Congratulations on all your progress. I know what you mean about exercise as I love it now too. I am going through withdrawal now because I had some reconstructive foot surgery and am off my left leg for four weeks. So I've been working my arms instead!

Topic: RE: Halitosis?

It's ketosis from rapid weight loss. Sugar free mints help and in time it goes away. It's good in that it shows your body is doing what its supposed to--burning fat.

Topic: RE: Question..... Help please

I also have diverticulitis and it has gotten much better since I had my surgery. It should be no problem at all.

Topic: RE: Foot surgery tomorrow

I had my rny at the end of August 2012 and have already exceeded my goal. Overall I feel so much better but have been having constant foot pain with my increased exercise levels. So tomorrow I am having a Dwyer calcaneal osteotomy and a cotton medial osteotomy and fusion of three hammer toes that rub constantly on my shoes. I am not looking forward to the surgery but I need it to be able to be as active as I want and be pain free. If you think of me about 12:30 say a little prayer. I will have a cast for at least 4 weeks and unable to put weight on the foot as it heals. I think I might go through exercise withdrawal (Did I just say that?!)so I have found chair exercises and an arm ergometer to use to at least get my heart rate up. I'll let you know how I am doing when I can.

I bet that felt great.Congratulations!

Topic: RE: Clothes ideas?!

I went through sizes so fast I was not willing to pay regular prices so I stuck to area resale shops and Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. I found some great deals and beautiful stylish clothes at reasonable prices. I didn't sell things I donated to goodwill so can't help you there.

Looking good! I am from central Illinois too. I live in Brighton which is a few miles north of Alton and had my surgery done at Depaul over in Missouri. Where are you at?

Topic: RE: Lets brainstorm: NSV ‘s

Don't have any amazing pictures but here we go. No more constant knee and back pain every hour of every day. Now instead of being out of breath getting down the steps to my treadmill I can walk 4 miles and still be able to breathe. I now have blood sugars in the 70s instead of the 180s. My blood pressure is normal on one small pill instead of uncontrolled on 3 pills. I love shopping in goodwill and resale shops now when hubby used to have to take me shopping. I now have a normal bmi for the first time ever. I have gone from size 24 pants to a loose size 4 and from a 4x top to a size small. I feel like a new person and know I can do anything I set my mind to do. I have even walked 2 5 is and look forward to doing more. I am loving my new life!

Topic: RE: The good, the bad and the ugly (pics)

Thanks for being so brave and sharing. I must say you look much better than I do.  I've got more excess skin but would take it everyday for how much better I feel. I look great with shapewear under my clothes and that's fine by me.

Topic: RE: Surgery was today!

Glad to hear that all went well. Keep walking and sipping and you will be home before you know it.

Topic: RE: Pain in stomach after eating

I just at 8 months started being able to eat coleslaw. Cabbage is a very gassy vegetable plus since it is raw it makes it harder to digest. Try it again much farther out.
