How Long?

I know im going to need the cpap before my surgery...but how long do i have to be on it? or dont i have to be on it for long :/ im just curious because all of my stuff is going to be over before thanksgiving... i was hoping to get surgery before christmas

hey mike,i believe most surgeons like for you to be on c-pap foe atleast 2-4 weeks before surgery. take care ebony

Hi, Michael! I've been on my CPAP machine for only two nights. My surgeon, Dr. James Koren wants me on it for two weeks prior to surgery, which is scheduled for 12/16, about three and a half weeks away from this posting. I'm doing okay with my nasal mask ...just slightly annoying. I wore it for 5 hours the first night and about 6 hours last night. I wish you well. Mary L-T
