Measuring Food by Volume

I'm struggling a little with measuring food by volume.  Per my plan, I should be on 2-3oz of protein followed by 1 1/2 oz of green veggie.  It's kind of tough to measure meat by volume without cutting it up first or doing the math -- which I guess I could do. By the time I'm done cutting and measuring, it's cold.  Any suggestions?  I'm worried that if I don't measure I will get too much.  If I 'eyball' I tend to estimate low on purpose.  That could screw up my protein counts.

I use the deck of cards method.

Your gonna have to experiment..... Play with some food!

A deck of cards is about 3oz. of food.

Once you measure it out a few times and compare.... It is very easy!

The veggies and less dense foods your going to have to use your imagination..... image what volume it's going to end up all chewed up.

It's easy once you get the hand of it..... I have used this method for over a year now and on several trips abroad.

Thanks!  I appreciate the advice.  I tend to get up-tight when I can't be precise (in general).  I guess I just need to relax a little :) Thanks, again.
