Well I'm just wondering how long everyone was on their liquids after surgery. I have ten days for each stage. Clear, full, then mushies.

Just curious =]

Two weeks full liquids, then two weeks pureed foods, then two weeks soft foods, then onto regular foods.

I mostly had clear liquids and focused on hydration for the first week.  Protein shakes were just too thick.

My diet is also 2 weeks on full liquids, after getting out of the hospital and then a pureed diet for 2 weeks, then I might be able to start some solid foods. I am not rushing, the thought of getting sick keeps me motvated to take it slow.

After leaving the hospital (my doctor keeps you in for two nights after the surgery) they said to have one week of clear liquids, then two weeks of full liquids, then one week of soft food, then can start incorporating  solid foods.  There wasn't a "puree" stage.

Good luck!

1 day in hospital on liquids then to puree/mushies/soft solids transitioning to more solid foods as tolerated over the next month or two.
