Self-Disgust !!

Well, if I hadn't really SCREWED UP, I'd be in onderland by now.  But I got lazy and quit writing down my intake for about ten days - and I gained three pounds!  If I could twist my leg around far enough, I'D KICK MYSELF IN THE ASS!

So now I've started tracking again and suddenly realized how much and how often I was eating.  It wasn't bad food - just too much of it.  Damn!  I'm getting it back under control now, I think.  I don't really want or need the extra food, I just don't realize I'm eating it unless I write it down.  Have to remember that the sleeve doesn't do the work by itself and that this is as much a mental process as a physical one.

It also made me realize how much I get out of participating on this board.  I've recognized that the reason I got fat in the first place was primarily because I JUST WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION!  This board helps keep me focused, makes me pay attention, and I'd like to thank all of you, veterans and newbies alike, for that.

So, since I can't get my own foot around there, I could probably use a good ass-kicking from those of you who have the time to spare!

I could kick your ass but you are doing a pretty good job kicking yourself.  You will be in onederland within a week and it will be sweeter because of what you learned this week.  I think its easy to stoppayin attention, and you just got slapped in the face with the consequences.  You also taught a bunch of peolple *****ad your post how important it is to pay attention.  You knowwhat to do now and it will get you to goal sooner and leave 199 in the dust.  Now shake your own hand and enjoy the rest of the weekend.  You can punish yourself with extra exercise if it makes you feel better.

Thanks Kim,
Decided to go back to all liquids (three protein shakes a day) for a few days until I get it under control.  Worked fine today.  No hunger.  No desire for anything else.  480 calories, 90 grams of protein.  Also, I finally downloaded myfitnesspal this afternoon.  Maybe that will help, too.

Great Awareness and Great Honesty. I can relate and went through a similar thing for a few days.
However I ate salad dressing it  threw me into the worst head crazies.  I started tracking again on myfitnesspal and realized the same thing.  I reset my sleeve by getting back to basics and on day two.  I lost  the 2 1/2 lbs, i gained,  plus another 1/2 loss in addition.

the scale has been my GOD  and that is something I need to work on getting rid of....
that is my personal challenge.  I feel good losing and am a whiner or in fear when I see
it increase.  the scale dictates my emotions...so i am going to start really taking a look at this.

Way to go!  I think this is a great example of how tracking/journaling is a gigantic help to staying on track.  Even if you thought you were eating all good food it really sticks out when its right there on the page in front of you.

I've been reading, just not posting, for the last week or so.  Don't really know why.
